  1. Thanks guys, much appreciated. Will give them both a call.
  2. Can anyone recommend a podiatrist in KZN or Cape Town who would do a proper analysis of gait etc, rather than just taking a mold and sending it off for inserts? Chris Delpierre was fantastic but has emigrated and we have had an unsatisfactory experience with the guy who took over his practice. Thanks.
  3. A rare gentleman with a heart of gold. RIP. And thank you, for making a difference in a loved one's life when they were close to giving up.
  4. In what fantasy do you live that you think it's acceptable to run stop signs and traffic lights, ride multiple abreast etc?
  5. Totally. There's nothing technical, just jeep tracks. You might go through one small area of deep loose sand though, just a few hundred metres.
  6. Hi, Could you please give us a spec sheet which is a bit more detailed? Trail 5 fork (air or spring) , number of gears and any other info you may have at hand. Thanks
  7. No point in taking this further. Doc Shaper suggests 2 weeks, cut and dried, shut the thread down and let's all go have a beer.
  8. Eat Clen, Tren hard, Test the limits Anavar give up.
  9. Your cat says it tastes like ass.
  10. Pics or it didn't happen!
  11. Thing is, this is SA Champs, and cycling is what CSA do. Paarl 6 was a privately organised event (to the best of my knowledge) and that ran beautifully, so it is possible.
  12. This is SA Champs, not some minnow event. If they're using volunteers then CSA seriously needs to get their act together. There was a crash during this morning's team pursuit (Chrispin Fourie and Robin Harris fell hard) and the other team kept lapping and trying to squeeze between riders and medics as nobody could tell them what to do. The last straw for us was the MC saying "And it's umm... I'm not sure because I don't have my glasses on..."
  13. Total lack of organisation, last minute rearrangements of schedule, no control of the track when crashes happen, and would someone please organise the guy on the mike a pair of glasses as he's clueless. They should have watched Paarl 6 to learn how to organise a well run track event.
  14. Yes true, I should have said "timed sections".
  15. Will probably take at most 10 minutes riding time to complete all the stages. Did the last one last year and I'd estimate 1-2km per stage.
  16. Most likely explanation is that a slightly higher offer was made, and for a few extra bucks the seller was suddenly able to find time to meet the other guy.
  17. On a very steep downhill it does obscure vision very slightly, but the longer peak saved my face when I landed chest first on a barbed wire fence. Shirt was torn up but not a mark on my face.
  18. Try using the replacement inners that come with the helmet, they're thicker and stopped mine from tipping downward. The inner retention system also has an adjustment where it attaches to the helmet near the strap mountings; just pull it loose and plug into the other holes.
  19. It likely means nothing to them, all that matters is that their product continues to get marketed and distributed. Imagine Tiger Brands deciding to stop supplying the Big 4 if/when they get bust for price fixing. They'll probably just laugh it off over a round of Bohemian Pilsners from "that" brewery.
  20. Ouch! "He couldn't even ride in a straight line before..."
  21. You're exhibiting classic signs of asthma and a pollen allergy. You qualify for a TUE.
  22. Just opinion here, as I have no access to any "inner circle". If I were doping, I'd be on during training as that's when the results happen. A shot of testosterone a week before a race isn't going to do much, yet all the positives seem to come from in-competition. It doesn't add up for me. The ratio between male/female drug tests would also be interesting.
  23. Great suggestion. Positive tests only seem to happen when riders are tested in competition. So there probably is very little, if any, out of comp testing going on.
  24. Those roadworks have been ongoing for the entire year, with no end in sight. Contractors probably planned poorly as usual and are under pressure to get roads ready by December holidays, so they took the easy way out. Travelling through the area watching them "work" is like watching a comedy show.
  25. Thank you, was sceptical to be honest.
