  1. I managed to get 36One under the belt in November which this was meant to be a preparation ride for... Given the situation now it was fortunate to get a big event under the belt in 2020, I'll keep training - different challenge to keep yourself honest over the festive period and if anything, stay away from those mine pies
  2. My 530 also been pretty flawless - as a side note, I rode 36One with it in November. Turned Bluetooth, Backlight off and rode with just external HR Monitor. We did a 20h46m ride, battery level was around 67% - very impressive
  3. More than do-able without a support vehicle - you have two sets of boxes available to pack beforehand which helps with any extras that you might need! Support vehicle more gees than anything else...
  4. Good Attitude - privilege to be able to take part in something like this, regardless of start times
  5. On the plus side, for some of us who have completed this a couple of times you will be able to enjoy the majority of the route in the daylight!
  6. Judging from my experience at 36One and how different that turned out being run in November instead of April/May, this is likely to also be a whole different kettle of fish in January compared to August... On the hunt for some Black Friday deals on Suncream, DM me if you see anything
  7. See you there T-Bag
  8. Suuuuuuuurely you can share those numbers with us...
  9. I am entered with a couple of mates - confirmed with organisers a couple of weeks ago - all seems to be going ahead as planned!
  10. I think this is spot on - as a substitute for maintaining fitness when the weather conditions are less than ideal it's a great option. I have had my setup for about 2 months now and it's been awesome to have the flexibility, especially if you are trying to follow a program. Endurance rides will always win being done outside, but interval sessions indoors on Zwift are super convenient.
  11. Exactly my point Stringbean - South African's have an obsession with having the top of the pops stuff... Only difference is my 'top of the pops' is indulging in an XX1 Chain on my GX Groupset... Althought depending on who you ask I could be saving myself some money on chain wear & tear
  12. It would be interesting to hear how many S-Works Epic's Spez South Africa sells in a year... For us middle Class folk, who can only ogle and puzzle at that price point, I think the number would be quite surprising...
  13. Morning Kickr Owners - I have a Kickr Core arriving next week - can anyone give an indication of how long the power cord is included with the unit? Trying to gauge if I will need a extra extension cable to connect to the nearest plug point...
  14. Interesting... I see that reported on the CWC Lockdown Thread that they have a permit - holding thumbs for a breakthrough here...
  15. Is there any more news on developments with regards to the delivery of the 'Lockdown' IDT's? My sources tell me there is some industry lobbying taking place but not sure how reliable this information is...
  16. They are legit - excellent service and personal touch if you pop them a mail with specific requests.
  17. So, after some of the clarifications last night any idea on whether these lockdown IDT's will be able to be delivered?
  18. People waiting for confirmation on whether their IDT's will be able to delivered from Friday...
  19. Still unclear whether any of these trainers ordered during Stage 5 Lockdown will be delivered from 1 May from the briefing this morning - looks like it might still be a while...
  20. They given you any indication yet on when they can deliver or as much in the dark as everyone else?
  21. Thanks Christian, I have a friend who is waiting on some of your stock and he is desperate for his Kickr... Apart from his sanity, I hope that you guys can start moving some stuff around for the health of the business
  22. A friend of mine serves on a the Exco of a Large E-Commerce retailer and he mentioned that they have pleaded up to the highest level to have E-Commerce pushed up the list but at this point to no avail... Since I would love to order some stuff online, I am personally keen to have E-Commerce kicking off again but seriously, in light of getting the economy going and surely this is one of the less risky one's from a transmission point of view...
  23. Maybe Christian or another supplier can shed some light on where their business stands given the President’s speech - will they even be able to operate?
