The twins came into NICU two days before ours was discharged. I remember how very tiny they were. We were shocked to hear that the boy passed away. Never had a chance to speak to them parents but it was heartbreaking to see their sadness in their loss vs our elation of taking ours home. Holding thumbs for the little girl, these premmies are fighters and she's in good hands with the NICU staff.

I just got a call from Disco stating it could take up to a month to process payments as there is an issue with Racetec confirming participation. (but don't worry, we did allocate the points)

I did not get one automatic payment last year, I had to follow up on every race claim and each time got told the same: "we are having system issues, etc" but then payment was received within a few days (except for my current query). I started to get the feeling that they hang onto the cash till you ask, then quickly process it. If you don't ask, you don't get paid.

I called on Tuesday just to get an update on when the payments for the 94.7 and Carnival City races will be expected. Consultant couldn't trace the races on my profile even though I was allocated points for the races and I logged it via the Vitality Race Events option on the website (even though the original FAQ's stated Discovery will automatically pick up your result via the timing companies and then allocate the Cash Back). I was told to expect feedback within 5 working days. Got a call last night at 6:15 asking for all the details again so they log the request again. (The consultant thought I was joking when I asked whether she was serious!) I only received my cash back for the Jock in Dec after going through the whole process (also having logged the race in July already) I'm glad I opted not to renew my membership for 2017. On the positive side, at least my Garmin syncing works flawlessly for the rewards

Not sure if this has been covered before? For Satellite we got a lot of points (more than the usual 300) for completing the race. For Carnival it was just the usual 300? Anyone know the reasons?

Great race Gerald! Front of DL caught the main CL batch at 28km. Those guys were flying The results on Racetec still needs a bit of cleaning up. Some JL, NL, LL, HL riders in the mix with AL.

And don't forget then odd dumb cyclist trying to move up in the bunch by riding in the right hand lane and then forcing their way into the bunch to avoid a head on collision with a vehicle.

Must be that special stuff they have been laying down overnight in Greenside for the last few weeks. Race VenueThe venue for the event is Saloon Route 66 on the Hartbeeshoek Road which joins Hekpoort and the ring road around Hartbeespoort Dam. The organization has tarred a section of the start/finish chute every year further up to the Saloon and this year is no different with the tarred road now spanning just over 600 metres. The chute has also been made 1.5 meters wider all the way to top, which will ensure that the chute for the Road Classic is less congested in the morning and that proceedings flow freely once cyclists start finishing later in the day.

Didn't the original notice state that the road had been retarred and extended?

Yip, the Vida part never really made sense. Most of the shops have closed, you can't use the voucher at the garage shops. (or airport shops ). Atleast M&B is more accessible

Called them last week to ask about the other 50% I was supposed to receive for Emperors (they offered 100% back). system issues was blamed and then payment was made. Still waiting on the 50% for the Jock

Yeah but then you have draw pictures, and you have to use pretty colours, else they don't understand.
