In previous years I would have agreed with you. It's surprising that Ducati couldn't pull it off with the Panigale V2, despite Kawasaki having their revs cut. Then Ducati went and built an out and out race bike which revs far higher than any of the other bikes, which in this instance is well within the rules and no rules were modified to allow them to do this. I whole-heartedly agree with you about equal rules and people sticking to them, but in that case we might as well just put everyone on the same bike as without grey in the rules, no-one would be pushing the innovative boundaries of the sport. And don't think that I'm conceding that +200cc is pushing innovation, but for everything else I think a fair statement.

For sure. Chatted to a friend on Sunday and said that for the first time in recent history I wasn't willing to put my money on Marquez and Rea for the championship at the start of the season. I think we're in for a good and competitive 2019.

We'll see. Remember that AB19 finished 4th at PI last year in MotoGP, so he obviously goes very well there. And last year in the opening round Melandri stormed off to a double win, with Rea only bagging a 5th and 2nd, but Rea still comfortably won the championship. Australia is an anomaly and can hide serious issues with the bike as it's much more of a riders' track. It's obvious that the Panigale V4R is a rocket when it is upright, with Rea already bemoaning the deficit. But I wouldn't call it over just yet. Would I bet the house on Rea taking the championship again? Probably not.
  4. It's time for Hamza to become a permanent fixture in the test team. I have to agree about Faf as captain, the team seemed clueless and we were well and truly embarrassed. Throw the hat to Markram and see what he's made of in my opinion. Also not sold on Bavuma to be frank. He always manages to save his butt with one good knock after a dry spell. And why is he batting at 4 with a FC average of 37? You've got guys like Rassie van der Dussen making their ODI debut at nearly 30 years of age, but are sitting on 43 FC averages without getting a shot at the test team? It's time for new blood, and guys like Hamza, Mulder and Janneman Malan must be frothing at the mouth for a proper chance. Send the stalwarts back to first class cricket to regain their form and give the young guns a shot. Oh, but wait, no it's just World Cup fever at the moment. We won't play another test for the next, well ****, who even knows as we have no fixtures past the World Cup. There was a long discussion during the Pakistan tour on one of the lunch break talks about getting countries to get their players to want to play Test Cricket, and not to run away chasing $$$ all over the world. But at the moment money trumps respect and glory.

First one to dip into the 1m40's. And his race pace is so consistent. Bear in mind he loves Jerez though. His first Moto3 win came from 35th on the grid there.
  7. There have been a couple that got done by a good'un, but overall our batting is not up to scratch.
  8. Eliza for sure, but Tamara with her food earrings is so dang cute, and Karlie and Nicole are easy on the eye as well. It's a bit slow, I've not caught up, but it's shaping up to be quite good.

Yeah well he lost his factory Moto3 ride so I can't see his results trending upward any time soon, unfortunately.
  10. Yeah there is not much to gain from not going fast, which could be strategised into only going fast for the first half of the track, or whatever if you really want to sandbag, but other teams will take the sector times into account. Kimi has just gone top as well. Testing is testing is testing. You don't know what the guys are really doing, but a fast time is still a fast time.

Just picked up on this in the Robbie Hunter news article: https://www.cape-epic.com/teams/2019/11135/orbea-factory Did anyone else know this? Will be interesting to see how he goes.
  14. Yeah I'm not sure how you would implement the circular saw mechanism into a table saw, but at least your circular saw doesn't get destroyed in the process.
  15. I watched this video earlier today, absolutely incredible.
  16. Top Gear is back. I've been so out of touch with what's been going on, and The Girl is traveling this week so it means less Grey's Anatomy in the house so I can catch up on some of the following: - True Detective S3 - Brooklyn Nine-Nine S6 (also watch this clip, it broke my brain) - The Grand Tour S3 - Ozark S1 (as mentioned above, so damn good)
  17. 100% agreed. If it's short he doesn't need to play at it. If it's at or near the stumps you have a bigger chance. I really don't know why we can't control the tail.
  18. What a knock, wow. Not good for our team morale.
  19. Looks like a Kawasaki... Who makes the thing?
  20. For sure. We've changed all the globes in our place to Osram LED's from Builders Warehouse, which at R30/pop are really not that expensive. We've bought extra of each type as well to keep should they need to be replaced at some point.
  21. Well when I misread the hashtag in the Tweet above as #FearlesslyFlawed I wasn't too far off it seems.
  22. Any pics of the previous event? Should be a mud-fest this weekend!
