  1. Yeah I think it works based on active time, not lapsed time. The Girl has far too often forgotten to reset her Garmin after a ride, and then doesn't look when she starts a new ride, and then 5 minutes in she realises she's already done 20KM. She then saves and resets and starts the new ride, still gets the points for the other ride even though it had a 2-day gap.
  2. These tyres are fat, with a capital PH (32C Gator on the back)
  3. Received my first Insure 5-Star day cash-back. Of course it also ends up being the smallest tank I've filled my car up with, but hey, nearly R400 coming my way!
  4. Thanks for all the tips guys, much appreciated!
  5. Interesting, thanks! I've always used small diamond core bits, hence the need for a plunger as they tend to wander and are a biatch to get started.
  6. Anyone know where I can get something like this in Gauteng? I don't even know what it's called, a drilling jig, perhaps? I don't need a hand drill press, I need this plunger sort of thing as I need to drill wall tiles and this will help with not cracking it.
  7. No I'm just teasing, I know it's out of your control. Aramex has it, it's just not moved since they've booked it into their PE facility. I'm sure it will be here tomorrow!
  8. There is no crying emoji, but order is still in PE :'(
  9. I don't think too many people are aware of what happened on Sunday evening, but it was pretty cool. We were having a braai at the in-laws late afternoon, when we saw a plane overhead at quite a low altitude. As most of Gauteng knows, there was a pretty significant storm that brewed that evening, so it was not too strange that it was flying under the clouds. On a hunch I decided to check out what was happening on Flightradar, then saw that this plane has been flying circles all over Pretoria. I decided to have a look further and found that everyone trying to get into ORTIA or HLA were stuck in holding patterns. Went back to the first plane to see where it was in the sky as we heard it again, passed right by the house in Monument Park. Next thing we heard the sound of reverse thrust and thought, wait what? Turns out this plane had to land at AFB Waterkloof as it didn't have enough fuel to divert to Durban, so special permission was given for it to land. As you can see they tried to land from the south first, but had to bail out, and then came in from the north. I was insufferable for the rest of dinner.
  10. Let's see if they can match it to Gauteng, they've got half an hour head start
  11. I agree, if you're slow and the game was 5 days and came down to the wire you should be fined and banned. No warning either. But if the game finishes within the allotted time period, what difference does it make? The game would have ended at the end of Day 3, and not the start of Day 4 in that event. I dunno. As for your last paragraph, that is taken into account when they calculate the effective over-rate.
  12. This rule to me is idiotic if the game got finished with pretty much two days to spare. Excited for Hamza to get his chance.
  13. That's what I really wanted to see, thanks!
  14. Fixed it for ya
  15. Trainer + Device that you're using?
  16. Each time I see this a bit of slobber forms on my bottom lip
  17. I see that the Cape Union Mart voucher option has disappeared again...
  18. Can't really say how it compares, but I'm 180cm and 65kg, and along with this review and their size chart, I opted for the Medium as I'm a 32" pant, and they are perfectly fine. Hairy legs mean that the pant legs ride up a bit, but that's on me.
  19. I have a pair that I've been using for about two years and they are solid. Nice comfy pad which is the best part, but the reflective lettering has started to come off (as you'd expect), but can't complain about the comfort or fit at all.
  20. This is stupidly cheap: http://www.sportsworld.co.za/cycling-shorts-bibs/212-tenn-pro-bib-shorts.html
  21. You and I have far too similar taste Mr. Takumi.
  22. Been seeing this all over my Instagram feed today. How the hell did that happen. It's gotta be a total brakes failure, or the most epic lapse of concentration ever. Wow.
  23. I'm sure the girlfriend would appreciate one of those in the bedroom
  24. But that's the thing about this country that detests me the greatest. This belief that you should get something for nothing. Until that mentality is reversed, we will never move forward.
