I have the Silverback Spectra 26" HT and Mercury 29 DS, good value in comparison to other brands. The site mentions the fork as Recon Gold Rock Shox Recon Gold RL Remote Push Lock Solo Air 100mm http://www.silverbacklab.com/2011_website_SILVERBACK/mercury3.htm

  10. If you can complete a 100k race you can do this. Just think of it as 3 50km rides and a 25km ride. Stage 1 has a longish climb in the beginning then flattens out , stage 2 is flat, stage 3 is probably the toughest with a sadistic 1km incline finish up to the school. Stage 4 has a short horrible climb but at 10k's to go its over and practically free wheel to the end.

  15. Some nice trails out that way, stop at the brood plekkie for pannekoek and coffee/cold drink. As mentioned its mostly flat dirt road with some jeep and single track and heading towards KP there are some lung busting climbs.
  16. The R59 while depicting R (Regional) is classified as a Freeway with on and off ramps and speed limit of 120km. No way should it be cycled on.
