  7. You have a MTB ! ??
  8. Did you not see MTB
  9. Speak to Clint or Arthur http://www.cyclemates.com/dealers/south-africa/gauteng/finish-line-cycles
  10. I don't care where my Silverbacks are born and bred, cant beat them for value for money.
  11. You don't mention road or MTB. If road and being an unfit novice i would not recommend TDF just yet unless you hook up with an experienced rider who is prepared to sit with you. MTB you can join Finish Line sat rides, 2 groups, tea party and WTF.
  12. MTB, less chance of puncture, more opportunities to avoid obstacles, pavement hopping etc.
  13. More discussion here, the Byrton 50 and Garmin 805 are the product cycling top range with all bells and whistles including Mapping ability. I still use the Garmin 705 and happy with it. https://community.bikehub.co.za/topic/114101-bryton-50-vs-garmin-805/page__st__16
  14. Now that's all sorted, RIP Juan, Condolences to team mates, friends and family
  15. Not a formal group but Kyalami is now also open Sundays for cycling, cost R20.

    Cycle Lab

Most likely Ben, very capable rider and also completed the Epic this year.
  17. Alex wheels suck, i've had road and MTB and the wheels spent as much time in the shop as on my bike. The BS was spinning you BS, i have a 29 DS and while i find it slightly more clumsy on very technical routes it kicks &ss everywhere else . I see you in Benoni, if i can suggest go to Finish Line in Glen Marais shopping center and speak to Clint or Arthur, they have a wide range of bikes including Merida and Silverback who both have comparable 29'ers.
  18. MTB review give it 4/5 http://www.mtbr.com/...46_7787crx.aspx Scotts a tried and tested brand, Alex wheels for me would be an issue, particularly if you the wrong side of 90kg.

    Cycle Lab

From what i'm aware Cyclelab is a franchise. I've had dealings with Fourways and East Rand, majority good with a few not so.
  20. You'll be doing a lot of the opposite of your signature
  21. Perhaps cause you don't have a MTB
  22. Some races have SAS seeding and in the races i have done where this exists it's worked well. As this will be your 1st race you will most likely start in the last batch but should work through pretty quickly http://www.saseeding.co.za/
