  1. Well done Motorists and bystanders around the Sinoville area were taken by surprise this morning when a man was pulling a truck full of food with his torso, to the Sinoville police station. The pulling of the mini truck with food was the brainchild of community leader and motivational speaker Chris Batts who said: “Father Christmas uses a sledgehammer we use a truck and man power,” said Batts jokingly. https://www.iol.co.za/pretoria-news/watch-man-pulls-truck-full-of-food-donations-12287164

IMO we are just as k@:k this year if not worse and the drop in rankings shows this. We have not beaten a team ranked higher than us, with all our wins coming from teams lower than us, 4 of our matches have been against France who have fielded the worst side they have in years, wins over Argentina and Italy (5 points adrift from us when the AB's are 10) are not exactly high five wins, Wales fielding a B team still beat us.

When AC took over we were ranked 3rd in the world, we are now 6th and AC claims we making progress. He maintains we are doing better than last year, then how is it we now sit further down the ranks than when we started this year. ??

AC is an icon for all stubborn and defiant people. Under his management the Boks have a 44% win rate (played 25, won 11, lost 12 and drawn 2). His tally compered to previous coaches with similar games played is poor pathetic. Heyneke Meyer: Played 24, won 17, lost 5, drew 2, for a win percentage of 71% Peter de Villiers: Played 25, won 17, lost 8, for a win percentage of 68% Jake White: Played 25, won 17, lost 7, drew 1, for a win percentage of 68% In 2016 the Boks won 4 games, this year the Boks have won 7 games, Italy who have fallen down the rankings to 14, Argentina who have seen a decline and have only won 8 of 27 games since last world cup and a French team at its weakest in years. Saturday they lost to a weakened Wales team with 6 of their first selection out How does he react ? I'm contracted to 2019 so I will not resign, he plays up the win tally from 4 (2016) to 7 (2017) and claims there is a healthy team environment and they are growing.

Wales ahead 21-10 halftime, looks like another hiding is on the cards for the Boks.

Fatigue might be in the Boks favour, Wales have played tough games against teams ranked above them, other than Ireland the Boks have played all lower teams albeit not convincingly though. Wales have also lost a number of key players, four at last count, who have returned to their clubs.

Having played each other 32 times, won 28, drawn 1 and lost 3 the Boks should be the favorites. A loss to Wales last time they played in 2016 the Boks need victory which is why I'm picking them. I need a win for my Superbru pool which i lead by slender margin.

France drawing with Japan, puts our 1 point win over France last week into perspective. Scotland a cracker against Australia beating them by 29 (same margin as Boks who played a much lower Italy). Boks play Wales next week who had had a good game against the AB's so they need to step it up.

France ranked lower than SA playing 3 games within 8 days 2 of those against NZ and only lose by 1 point to the Boks even with been a man down for 10 min, yup less than perfect for the Boks.

Not overly impressed, 1 point difference against a team ranked below you is no high five moment besides France came into this game having played the AB's on Tues, that gotta affect them and even AB's had a less than stunning game in their win over Wales.

It would be more embarrassing to be awarded hosts only to have it rescheduled to be played elsewhere. Excluding crime only as recently as last year the government banned us from hosting the cup in 2023 due to "transformation". It took a lot of begging to get them to lift it, even parading Ramaphosa as the face of the bid is no guarantee something like this will not reoccur again and rugby will become a political football.

I can see why AC would want to hold onto his job as long as he can, based on his record (only 9 wins and 2 draws out of 22) unlike most other coaches he will find it very cold on the outside in trying to secure another lucrative coaching job.

Under Coetzee we have lost 11 tests out of 22 and set new loss records, SARU must be blind not too see something is rotten.

Poor coach, poor game plan, poor discipline = poor result. 3 tries in the ;last 10 min. AC will probably look at this as a positive from the AB slaughter a few months back as at least the Boks got 3 points this time.
  19. I too am selective. Why I would do the race again and I'm mid pack finisher, it's well organised, route is rider friendly, plenty of safe secure parking, non cyclists can entertain themselves at Carnival City, food and drink vendors on site reasonably priced, proceeds go to charity and entry fee is comparable to other events. If the conditions were Arctic for your son, spare a thought for the marshals who were in position while it was still dark and remain there until the last one went past. Those are the right reasons. Selfish reasons, its practically on my doorstep.
  20. Someone should let the Texas Rangers know
  21. There is a solitary result, ML was last start group for 103km so maybe they confused it with the next start batch which was the 65km. As Gerald mentioned Racetec are usually pretty good. Log a query and I'm sure they will sort it out.
  22. Were there a number of riders in ML group, if so then even discounting those without chip there should be many more listed on Racetec.
  23. Well done Gerald and GW, well organised and marshaled, wind was tough in stages. Missed my target by 8 mins but after boerrie roll and coke I'm ok with that.
  24. Results are out http://racetec.co.za/
