If the slime/sludge does not work, Oliver's Yes Tubes has an advantage over tubless. For only about R10 you can get an emergency kit Oliver's Yes Tubes Hop-Up Kit includes: Two fully enclosed rubber tire filling devices with integrated valve stems (no need for "special" rimstrips!) Detailed installtion instructions. Easy do-it-yourself installation, without having to use an air compressor.
  2. Probably a bit biased as i ride one, but i think Merida are very underated. Great bikes and value for money.
  3. Well if you stayed out east i'd say TDF (Boksburg) is the place to go, but its quite a schlep from Sandton. I have only been to Slipstream a few times and they're not bad. There's also Fritz Pienaar in Witkoppen and Cyclelab in the area as well.
  4. Man this thread is funny

    Beware

Similiar thing happening at Boksburg Hyper, young lady saying she is a rep from Pietersburg, left her bank cards, cash at home and has run out of petrol and asks for money to buy some. Offers to buy or give her petrol are declined and she waltzes off to ask someone else. She tried the stunt on me two different days, and does not work alone as i noticed the same seedy looking guy hanging around on both days.
  11. At least the colours match
  12. Any guy sitting on this
  13. Barloworld is registered in UK so does not need to conform.
  14. Leave the pic at that size. Post Minki in a larger size. I know Cyclelab and TDF have rollers in stock.
  15. Dont study men closely so i did not pick that up, and aint going back to have a look.
  16. Nice IanJ, Cyclelab
  17. TDF is my best LBS, his shop is usually open tiil about 19.00 but he will stay open even later to help you. Once i up my brakes on the bike and took it to him to fix just before closing time. I had my brakes up so much they had to keep the bike overnight to fix, got a call the next morning telling me the bike is ready and the cost was NIX. Proud to say our club kit has his logo on. You also dont wanna go pick a fight with his assistant Riaan as he is a big dude.
  18. Michelle, i do seem to recall them making the same noise last year. Most cyclists will in any case just cycle for fun.
  19. Alas Widget, it looks like all those wanting to ride CGC events need to licence. Riders will be allocated to into Supercycling seeded batches https://www.bikehub.co.za/forum_posts.asp?TID=8438
  20. Tough decision Widget, as you mention your club thinks you do, but hey, its not so bad turtling along in the open sections
