  1. Sorry, I seem to have misspelled your Hub name GoLefty!!
  2. I see GoLefty is on-line, but still no response to my post.
  3. As much as what jakes_1 comment was uncalled for (you did apologise but I bring it up to illustrate a point), so was GoLefty's comment about all roadies being Lycra clad homosexuals staring at someone else's behind. Your comments in general are good. You did lose the plot when you started on that little tirade. I think we need to temper the entire thread here. Have you called Kevin Evans a Homo? Does he not race in Lycra as well. Oh right, Lycra on the single track is cool. As much as what jakes_1 was hauled over the coals, I think you can muster up a many apology as well.
  4. Yup - extreme. The worst would be manslaughter (not mans laughter), but more than likely negligence with a civil law suit for loss of earnings once found guilty of the first charge. I understand the need to not spend more money than is critically necessary, but dieing for the sake of saving money is just as extreme.
  5. Nice Para. I do so love the Gauteng area and especially Johannesburg. At least we have more than just a mountain and some water to get all excited about. The thing is the Cape SHOULD be beautiful whereas Johannesburg should not. It can be beautiful, as seen from your photos. Gasping2009-12-07 05:03:17
  6. Oh, and it was remiss of me to forget to thank ChunkyMunky for the fantastic competition. THANKS CHUNKY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  7. Well done Aytch Arrr. A worthy winner. Well done to the other two for ...... well anyway, well done.
  8. Honesty! In this day and age? Well done Nothingness - I might actually vote for women to earn the same prize money as men from now on.
  9. Darling Damsels? Dangerous Dames Delightfull Darlings? Delicious Dolls?
  10. It's killing me that I can't reply to this comment! EigerSA, my tongue is bleeding from me biting it! It is a bit too easy though, so I decided to drop the comments that sprung to mind - I like a bit of a challenge.
  11. I meant who are the Hubbettes in the picture?
  12. I find it very strange how the coincidenses mount up. Every time I look at the poll count, only two people keep increasing their count. The really funny thing is that they are always offline on their status when their votes go up.
  13. Who the Hubbettes?
  14. Aytch, would little Holy Rollers not tranlate into Pious Rollers? Not to confuse them with that bloke from Justice.
  15. For those of you reading this and have not voted yet, please cast your vote for either Holy Roller (he has been the most entertaining in the final stretch) or Virgo (she is more deserving than most). Vote now! Pick one of these two.
  16. Good charge by Virgo. Votes rolling in now.........
  17. Nice to see Bra Jules on the Hub again. Our Tshwane resident must be very proud!
  18. Democracy in Africa - Are you implying that this poll is rigged? Well stone me. Why didn't I think of that?
  19. Okay, here is the next stupid question from me - how far down the front fork is the magnet/sender unit? I moved mine up so that the magnet on the spoke is about 2.5 cm from the rim and 180 degrees opposite the valve. It sounds like you may have (a) the units too far away from the receiver or (b) battery issues in the pickup/sender unit.
  20. Aytch, I think we are all having a good giggle at the layouts. Charlize is on our side? About bloody time! Keep it up. Or keep up the good work.
  21. I was reading in the Ride magazine last night. The letters page had an interesting reply from CSA to an allegation/accusation from a reader. I had no idea that CSA was 100 years old already! That begs 2 questions from me: (i) Surely by now they would have gotten their act together in the last 100 years (ii) Perhaps being 100 years old it is time to pension them off and get a younger organisation going that is not as senile?
  22. HOLY ROLLER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! You are playing this perfectly. The headlines are eye catching, humorous and very very sharp. My post earlier may have come across as sour grapes, but it is not the case. Chunky said early on that this is an endurance event and you have paced yourself like a true champion. If I could vote again, or even get 140 odd Rookies to do this, I would make sure they voted for you. Well played!
  23. My Dear Virgo, I am so glad someone noticed. Thank you - you made it all worthwhile. I would still love to know how many Rookies voted in this poll. Anyway, being a good catholic boy, I pulled out a long time ago. Whomever wins - enjoy the shirt.
