  1. The wired cadence does not help your autostart. RTFM or RTFBYC and you will see that the setup for auto has a limitation in that if it stays on permanently (or even is standby like a wired unit) your battery life will be pathetic. What is the most you will lose with autostart taking 2 -5 seconds? I always reset my Delphi from yesterday's ride anyway - I want to see today's stats. The middle button is called the Start/Stop button. Use it.
  2. Thank you for your vote!
  3. Very quick edit there to fix up your spelling!
  4. Gasping and the rest of us are getting a political hiding here. Every time I refresh the page Gremlin has an extra vote and the rest of us remain static. Jeepers Gremlin - well done!
  5. I think this is the merit jersey - Chunky has decided to put it to the vote. There is still the lucky draw that will be done the same as the last time. I am going to take this like a normal SA election. I will no longer canvas for votes. Rather, I will find a tree to go and lay under to contemplate my navel.
  6. I just want to point out that my approach to this competition has been unique from my perspective, but copied by other Hubbers. I have spent time in making animated pictures and posting them. I have been constant in my plea for the Ride to Live shirt which only one other Hubber has asked for. Please vote for me. Just a reminder of my works.Gasping2009-12-03 02:49:08
  7. Team, Kansas has asked me to thank all of you for the wishes and support. He thinks he is going to try his hand at auctioning. He will be back on the Hub, but not just at the moment. Thanks again guys & dolls
  8. Firefox, Tradelink Textile Industries in Quaqua.
  9. 100 Cement mtbN00b.
  10. mtbN00b, I must confess I don't know. I have just asked him via SMS, so lets see what he comes back with.
  11. Hi Hubbers, I have just heard from our mate Kansas that he has been SMSed the news that his employer has closed their doors. I think this is with immediate effect. Kansas has asked that I say a sad "so-long" for now from him. He will be back on as soon as he can. If you need to tell him anything, let me know and I will pass it on.
  12. Cheers to CWC! Makes you wonder (unless you are Kansas, then its Wanda) what value the official distributors are adding to the chain. Chris said that he has enough spares to sort out warranty claims (as per a previous post on this thread), so why does Mavic insist on having them around? The only reason I can see is that it makes life easier for them - they only have one customer in SA to deal with instead of all the LBS's. However, they would move more product.
  13. If there are any Hubbers in your area, then you are safe - everyone knows our sh!t don't stink!
  14. YOU BEAT ME TO IT!!!!!! Why? Everyone poked?Gasping2009-12-01 04:37:19
  15. Best reason to go lighter. Dunno how this will tie in with the best advice given by Goodbadugly. I need something in between.
  16. Regard, what I was trying to say is that if the club is not working for an individual, then what is that individual doing to get things changed? Most people (and I was guessing that this includes you from you the tone of your post) think that club fees entitles them to "world class" service. Most people forget that clubs are run by volunteers who also have a full time job. That is all. Not picking on you if I misread your post. If I did not misread your post, then yes, I am picking on you.
  17. Agteros, is that not typical of society today in that we want everyone to do everything for us and if they don't meet up with our elevated expectations (because we are paying for it) then we tell the world how lousy they are? I agree with you fully about getting involved in what you have an interest in. Not to hijack the thread, but I even got involved in community policing after me and my family were hijacked 4 1/2 years ago. It is easy to be part of the problem. It is not so easy to be part of the solution. Once again one of my dictum's rings true - the easy thing in life has no value. Well said. Well done. Bravo!
  18. Not really KonaFan, at Teasers you get to look but with group sex its a whole other ball game.
  19. As mentioned earlier - pure bike porn! It has left a lusting impression on me. To quote Man Frog and Kevin Bloody Wilson, and take Shuan's letter a step further, "Hey Santa Clause you @*&%, Where's my &$*#^}% bike?"
  20. I am sick! I am sitting in Cameroon for the next week and I have no means of cycling and then you show this and then I get sad and sulky and cry big tears then I sound like a baby. Nice ride. I hope she is everything you wish her to be.
