  1. So, while we're on this moral/legal discussion. Who has copied music/movies/programs on their pc's?
  2. I first installed the bb without spacers and saw a gap for 2 spacers on drive side and 1 on non drive side. So, that's how I installed it.
  3. Or go to wordpress. Do a search on "NCR: Creating a website" I started a similar thread a couple of weeks ago.
  4. I did have to apply a lot of pressure to get the axle into the bb. Will redo everything today.
  5. I installed new slx cranks with hollowtech II bb, but the cranks are very stiff (Doesn?t turn easily) I have already loosened the cap that screws on the non-drive side. It helped a bit, but still not enough. The bb cups are fastened with quite some force against the spacers. Any tips?
  6. Found some chainrings on Jenson cycles or something like that. Will have a look at the others. Thanks
  7. Who here has done it? Need some tips. I have the slx crankset on my bike, but may buy the truvativ noir 3.3. Which would be easier to convert? Or is it the same? Also, which fd works best? Top swing or conventional? Thinking of getting 28 and 40 teeth chainrings. What brands and where do I buy them? This is for a hardtail. Looking for a lightweight setup.
  8. Dankie, en eks terug ja. Ek gaan nou groenkloof toe vir test drive. Laat weet maar wanneer jy wil gaan die week. Enige dag behoort te werk vir my.
  9. Freewheel speed? What exactly do you mean?
  10. I have not weighed it yet, only the individual parts. Should be around 10.6kg. Wheels are not the lightest and kenda nevegals are 770g each. Only decided to go light weight after I had most of the parts. Not going to spend thousands for weight saving. Will upgrade to better parts if I rally need to.
  11. I think its durable enough for hard riding, but if you fall and hit it on a rock then you are screwed. I wouldn't ride the epic with extralite. It also has a 90kg weight limit.
  12. Bos, look on www.jensonusa.com I'm trying to do the same as you.
  13. My newly built Schwinn Moab SC2 (Black label) Red KCNC spacers is the only bling at the moment. Red skewers on their way. Very proud of the extralite handlebar and stem from ridr. Upgrades in the next month or so: Red QR skewers. Truvativ noir 3.3 cranks with 2x9 setup 50g/pair handlebar ends on their way (Not sure if I'll use them) Unbranded carbon bottle cages 140mm rear rotor And maybe new wheels towards the end of the year.
  14. Its the same as groupset. Once you go to SRAM, you don't go back to shimano. >>Once you go to twist you dont go back to trigger.
  15. Was looking for 140mm, but guys at fritz pienaar told me they make 130mm. Was surprised to hear this. I have a is-post adapter for a 140mm I think, because my brake caliper doesn't fit over my 160mm rotor.
  16. If people have more detail in their for sale ads, then maybe. Some guys will just give a bike name and that's it. No price, size, age etc.
  17. It would be good to have ratings. There was a list a while back with names of people that can be trusted, but it would be nice to have such a thing integrated with your profile.
  18. Bad thing about centrelock, is shimano. I've tried about 6 shops in the last two days to find 130/140mm centrelock rotors and no-one has them. Most rotors on crc are also 6bolt.
  19. Tankman, I think you gave the answer that will settle it.
  20. Ok thanks. Will let him decide.
  21. Not going the roadbike route as he and his wife rides together and shes still struggeling to keep on the bike even on easy singletrack, so the roadbike may be too uncomfortable. Or, is it possible to have a roadbike with a riding setup like a mtb? (They are 110% fundriders)
  22. The 700c rims was actually a suggestion from silverback. He has a surplus 2. Will obviously first have to check clearance. Think he will still go with a 11-32 casette, as he's not racing. Just riding for fun.
  23. My uncle rides mtb(Funrider), but also do road races like 94.7 and argus. He is tired of changing tyres everytime he does a road race and would like another set of wheels for road riding. So two options: 1. Get another set of xt wheels and put on some slicks. 2. Get Johan to build 700c rims onto xt hubs and put on some road tyres. What do you guys think is the best option, and what would the time difference be between the two options on the Argus? He did argus this year in 5:45 I think.
  24. Call me before you start stripping the paint off your bike ww. Then I'm stopping you.
