  1. Ja that sucks donkey balls
  2. Just to set all your minds at ease Today, BH has two large manufacturing and assembly facilities in Vitoria and one in Portugal. They also have manufacturing facilities that include CNC laser machining which (in addition to bicycle products) produces the highest end fitness equipment in Europe as well as parts for both BMW and Mercedes Benz. BH - Mine was made in Spain - never came close to China
  3. His was Made In China which is why it only kind of works
  4. Typical South Africa someone stole your topic
  5. Which is why they don't work
  6. BH made in Spain
  7. Got in an hour yesterday and managed 32Km's with all the robot stops and starts and it was not to bad. I am happy with the speed achieved and my perceived power output. I found riding into the wind a lot easier in the TT position as well as a lot faster. I have bought some spacers in an effort to lift the bars a bit, I think I may be to low in the front which is causing the neck strain when I look up to see where I am going. Thanks for all the advice so far.
  8. Never ever buy anything which is Made in China. I know this rules out about 90% of the products in South Africa but steer clear of the Chinese crap. You could probably buy a pretty decent kids bike from your LBS with working wheels and breaks for around R250. Dependant on the age of your kids. For that price your kids would need to be between 3 and 6.
  9. I am new to Triathlon and riding a Time Trial Bike so I would like to know from those of you who have these bikes a few things. Is the position supposed to be comfortable or are you supposed to feel like you have a 100kilos on the back of your neck? I have found when riding my bike that looking into the distance is difficult because of the neck strain it creates. Looking just a little ahead seems to be ideal but rather dangerous. Control is not easy especially in the cross winds - any tips to improve or is this just a practice makes perfect issue?
  10. Easiest way to get the job is tell them that you have a client base of around 5000 people
  11. I would think much like MX you would be bound by indemnity as well as disclaimers or rulings by the land owner - i think you may also find that there are probably different circumstances or laws which may be applied if you were cycling on government property as opposed to private property.
  12. No you are not required, similar to an MX bike does not need roadworthy, indicators, break lights and all the other stuff but as soon as you are on a public road your vehicle as well as yourself become bound by the public rules and laws of that road.
  13. National Road Traffic Act, 1993(Act No.93 of 1996). Law
  14. Also notice there is no saddle bag so it must be true
  15. For what you want to purchase I would rather purchase locally. Stay away from clothing items import duties are 45%. As for the rest you would maybe save a few bucks but it is hardly worth the stress of the off chance that your parcel will get lost or re-distributed to the needy.
  16. With all this stuff you should rather look at a saddle suitcase
  17. For us non MTB'rs what are bar ends on risers? Maybe give us a picture so us mere mortals may understand
  18. Well I **** you not I saw a chick driving a car last weekend when we were on our way to the Satellite wearing her cycling helmet - she looked like she was on her way to Cycle Lab for their morning ride, wouldn't be surprised if she had her shoes on as well.
  19. Oooooo that is the second one we have seen this week
  20. Caerus I think you just summed it up, it is a personal preference, nothing more nothing less.
  21. Dude you are way too sensitive today - chill a bit
  22. Probably picked up, better to get a dnf than a bad time stuffs up your seeding and makes it more difficult to get re-seeded in the group in races to come.
  23. Well with a bit of luck the shark will bite you on your head and your helmet will save your life - versatile little critters those helmets are.
  24. A few days ago I went for a ride around the block to test my gears which had just been adjusted. On the way past my gate my wife and 3 year old daughter were just getting home. I carried on around the block, on turning into my street again I could hear the loud screams of DADDY DADDY DADDY. I arrived at my gate an pulled in. My daughter said to me "I'm calling you daddy" I said "Yes, my baby I can hear you from up the street what is wrong?" She replies "You are very naughty daddy, you are riding your bike without a helmin on, go to the wall and fold your arm" I didn't say anything - she was right - short trip long trip always wear your helmin you never know what is waiting around the corner. Helmin = Helmet LOL too cute.
