  1. Well, I think if they give everybody's money back and leave it, then they do not really net permission to stop funding it. I someone else ie Scott, comes along and pick up the pieces, then it is their prerogative.
  2. Will be sad, but do understand the "gentleman's" agreement rather than the legalities. Sad that these sort of things always has to happen.
  3. Is there anybody here that use the Defeet gloves for MTB'ing. Just wondering if the lack of padding makes any difference when going off road
  4. Are you talking about these Dale? http://www.assos.com/en/19/singleProduct.aspx?cat=6,19,31,46&prod=393
  5. I've got those as well ja, nice to use underneath the normal gloves, especially if it gets warmer, then you can take it off.
  6. You get some really nice gloves on the International Online Stores, but it is difficult to know how they fit. I am going to look at the Defeet gloves at CWC, but they are not waterproof. These ones seems to be very good, just not sure about the wool: http://www.evanscycles.com/products/sealskinz/ultra-grip-gloves-ec030433
  7. Hi All In the market for a new pair of winter gloves, what do you use. Have Louis Garneau at the moment, about 4 years old. Looking to get something that is a little tighter fit.
  8. another question, what are we hoping for here: Cycle Science close down? A scare to other bike shops? Money back? They must go to jail? All of the above?
  9. Out of interest I would still like to know the difference in "genuine" products and the 91k that was paid for the complete bike. But geez, I do not want to be those guys this morning.
  10. Maybe this has been asked or mentioned in all these pages, but just a question, don't crucify me please: Let's say you do end up buying a "grey" product, in today's day and age it is very possible that one can get the frame from the same factory, but without a serial number. So, if you bought a 91k bike with a grey/fake frame, it is quite possible that you can end up paying the price, based on the components you have on the bike, ie, fake frame 20k, plus top of the rage components. Would that change the argument if the buyer were told that he or she is buying a grey import?
  11. He did say in the interview that this is the most mechanical he's ever had at Epic, riding same equipment as last year he says, he writes is off as bad luck.
  12. It's 1:30 on 11mins Not really that close is it?
  13. They'll have to puch flippen hard, but wouldn't that be great. Great to see and know that Phil can be in the mix though
  14. Jip, but I don't think it matters anymore in any case. Let's rather root for Phil. Will be sad to see Topeak loose this because of that issue, think they might be deserving winners this year.
  15. And with that I think we'll have anew winner this year. Cannot win this thing if you make these kind of mistakes every day. Funny how all mechanicals and falls came from the experienced MTB'er and not the roadie
  16. I think the difference is that they are all teams, therefore not "outside assistance", I think. We'll probably have to see what happens afterwards?
  17. Not sure, open to interpretation I recon: 34 Assistance during the Race 34.1 While riders helping and assisting one another during the course of the race is accepted as standard cycling practice, UCI pro-elite category riders may not receive on going, persistent and regular assistance from any other team which does not compete in the same racing category and which would have the effect of giving those UCI pro-elite category riders an unfair advantage. 34.2 The commissaire shall be entitled, at any stage during or following completion of the race, to rule: 34.2.1 that a team has contravened this rule 34; and 34.2.2 on the applicable penalty/ies as a consequence of such contravention, and any such ruling by the commissaire is final and binding. 34.3 For the purposes of this rule 34, “on-going assistance” is defined as supporting, or intending to support, the assisted team with the aim of affording the assisted team an unfair advantage over other competitors in the same category and includes but is not limited to drafting, feeding riders, and mechanical assistance. No towing and/or pushing of any rider will be permitted.
  18. Phil is not on a 27.5 is he?
  19. I must say, looking at the live streaming, the Scott Odlo team do not really look like a happy team. Phil was standing around while Nino got all the attention form the team, now high 5's or anything, only happened after a while.
  20. Another question, can the pro teams make use of the techzone mechanics, I know they should do their own repairs themselves, but is there a difference in them stopping at the SRAM tech sone vs the amateurs? The reason I am asking is, if Songo struggled with their breaks from before WP1, why not stop at one of these tech stations to get it sorted and race properly? It sounds odd that after 3 WP you cannot get a spring out of your brake caliber, which cost you 10mins at the end.
  21. I checked last years results and after the 2nd stage last year they where more than 8 minutes down and won. A question, are you allowed to swop a bike with a teammate, or only parts?
  22. Correct me if I am wrong, but one of the Specialized "teams" are some of the in house mechanics. From what I understand they rode with Sauser and Rabon, and even with them there they could not fix it. Crap way to have to try and fight back from 10mins down. Sorry, just checked and they in fact did not finish with them. Hopefully they can lend a helping hand tonight.
  23. I must admit, Specialized does not sound like the most reliable bikes, I mean, they had tyre issues yesterday and brakes today, not good. No wonder Bulls win on consistency.
  24. I was also wondering I was thinking they're taking it "easy" cause of the wet and they do not want technicals, but that doesn't really make sense.
