  1. I might make the swimming easier, but the water aren't that cold
  2. Don't think it can be repaired. The answer will be that the battery looses charge over time and you have to keep it charged. As far as I know there's not much you can do about it
  3. That sounds like what happened in the Burry Stander accident
  4. Also saw about Lakata. Rabon looks like a contender, cannot see any of the other Spez stalwarts being able to keep up with Sauser.
  5. I've been looking around trying to see who will partner Sauser in the Epic, I take it he will be riding. Couldn't find anything apart from an interview with Kulhavy where he said he wil not race it this year. Same could be asked for Kevin Evans, wonder if he will team up with Stewart? Does anybody know yet?
  6. You would have to say where in Cape Town. Is a Virgin Active an option for you?
  7. Sorry, had to say that it is mainly marathon type riding. Gravel roads, tar roads, odd single track when it presents itself, but as we know, single track is most of the time done in a view minutes. Things like the MTB Argus, Trans Baviaans, MTN Marathon Series type of races.
  8. Hi Guys Just want to know from experience what it is like to go from a 26er full suss to a 29er hardtail. Any bad experience, or is it recommended?
  9. When I stayed in Kuilsriver I use to ride that road often with no problems. Not sure if this falls under the Bottelary Hills permit. I would say, if you do not climb over any fences it should be fine. The farm workers would probably also use that road. Or just pop in at one of the big farm houses and ask them, that is probably the right thing to do.
  10. That id what I thought as well, but I guess beggars can't be choosers
  11. What was the full price? R600 + R180 sub fees sound a bit steep?
  12. Just want to know, what should one expect to pay to buy an Argus entry from someone else. Or does it come down to supply and demand?
  13. If it is about safety while you ride, you can use Google+, it allows you to give permission to your frineds to see where you are located, not fitness wise, like Endmondo, just location. There is also a free app, called GPS pro, tat works on the same principal as Google+. If it is for when your bike gets stolen, nothing that I know of. I did speak to a friend of mine about something like that, but battery life is a problem.
  14. I will also feel ripped off, even with kindles and things in the house. Had to buy a book the other day cause it is not on Kindle, 'n older book, think 2004 print, that was at least not to expensive to buy. But I will feel exactly the same as you. It's like seeing something on the a cycling website and going in store and having to pay like R200 more, don't think that is on, unless they state it is a web only special. Did you en up buying it though, or could you rather go buy it on Amazon?
  15. I like the idea. It is something new ans different, different type of challenge. I think something like this is needed and seriously R200 is not the end of the world if you like the challenge. You can only complain if you would actually accept the challenge. As for Eco Bound capturing tour data, how, they already have the trails and that is all you ride, it's not Strava where they can see everywhere you ride. I hope it takes off for them.
  16. Would be nice to see what the trails are before one purchase the app. Keen to do it, but also cannot travel all over the country to make it worth it.
  17. I know a lot has been said over the last week about Spez and bullies and brands, but other than someone not liking the brand or the shop owner selling Spez, is there any reason not to seriously consider buy an Epic Comp, it looks like any other competitors with the same sort of components comes in at the same price?
  18. You've got that, and the fact that it is the best bike with best backup service around. Away are the days when youhad to look for a spez dealer, the are on your doorstep and proud about it. Still not the prettiest bike though
  19. Nevermind the brand, the Spez hardtails are ugly.
  20. Do you sell these bikes?
  21. If it is a hardtail you want, go for the one with the best paint job
  22. Well, obviously not Specialized, seeing that they are bullies. What about a Fuji
  23. This thread is hurting Specialized big time. Since I started following it I have noticed at least 5 Spez products up for sale under the classified section. Could we soon also see people getting rid of their Meridas. A Fuji owner wanting to upgrade can expect a increase in value and quick sale, so good on them.
  24. When you buying your Fuji in support of their good PR?
