  1. Unless it is for aero reasons...I don't see why they couldn't finish it off like the trek...the fork brake setup all fits into place on the trek...the f10 looks like the fork is the wrong way and the just doesn't fit. The little piece behind the seat post looks like they weren't sure if it was gona get a spoiler or should rounded off to blend with the rest of the frame...trek got it right. If I had the Bucks I would be riding a trek like this with sram wireless...just not in red...would go in for a custom spray job. And a black for patch
  2. Same response from everyone on Facebook...we left the beachfront at 13.30 today...no crowds...no rubbish...and most important...no drunks.
  3. Beachfront ride this morning...what a pleasure. Coffee at the coffee guys Beachfront gardens. Yes this pic was taken this morning [emoji3] One of the many dustbins on the promenade jumped out and bumped her handle bars...shame she face planted in front of Joe cools...but did recover well...got back on the bike and rode back to Ushaka..
  4. Giba for a "recovery ride [emoji13]

  6. let see if any cyclist protest outside the court... that fella is lucky he went between the vehicles and wasnt hit by the bakkie or ridden over by the taxi...his bike took quite a beating. the taxi driver pays a fine for not having a license and a fine for vehicle not being road worthy...and nothing changes.. cyclists get killed by drunk drivers...and hit by drunk drivers...even police vehicles get rammed by drunk drivers while attending to accidents and nothing gets done about it...a taxi driver with no license and an unroadworthy vehicle...i doubt much is gona happen...read this article. http://www.sowetanlive.co.za/news/2016/02/23/unroadworthy-cars-causing-mayhem-on-sa-roads
  7. I have decided to ride to work (20 steps from my back door) i walk out the front door make a small 50 km detour to the coffee guys next to ushaka then head back up the hill to the office...i dont need to worry about forgetting my work clothes a few things i have learnt... dont get in the way of a motorist who is 5 min late for work... ride as defensively as you can...no matter what it takes. a municipal bus is rated my number most dangerous vehicle when riding a bicycle...there are a list of reasons which can be discussed another time. motorists heading to work in the morning are far more dangerous than when they leaving work...especially if they are running late...or you are holding them up while they are waiting at a stop street...except if they have been out to lunch at the local pub. find a coffee shop higher than your place of work...it is easier to ride down to work after the cuppa
  8. they seem to be doing something right... http://businesstech.co.za/news/finance/141955/a-look-at-discoverys-beautiful-new-r3-billion-headquarters-in-sandton/
  9. Interesting ride...
  10. Almost complete....just need to fit a couple of plugs with a long cable...internet is wireless...I might raise the TV and fit a frame around the top to hide all the cabling which is in trunking. A budget setup....which folds down and has wheels so it can be moved with ease By the way I have checked the saddle twice to see why it looks so out...but it is straight...must be the angle of the photo. just because it is bothering me now...i setup the laser and made sure...and checked the seat height to make sure the seat hasnt dropped...all perfect.
  11. You need a mobile counter for your indoor trainer setup...a health walker is the ideal platform...why because they become ornaments...and people will pay you to throw it away [emoji12] Watch this space if you want to see how it gets converted.
  12. The finished product
  13. Nice little order to make a pile of fishing stands
  14. this stuff will last for years...i have plenty of these battery operated tools and they worth the money spent...even though i have a plug every 2 metres and hanging in the workshop...i still use the battery stuff the most the small circular is not ideal...the big one in the pic uses 2 batteries which makes it a lot stronger.
  15. Mavic ksyrium equipe wheel set...second hand. Why... Price was right. weight limit 120 kg...ideal for my fat ass. Because i can use them on either my 8 speed trek or 11 speed merida....and all i need is a washer for the 8 speed cassette...the 11 speed cassette is a perfect fit.
  16. Woke up this morning and thought lets see if i could buy a bike stand for under R10...the result The beauty about this stand is the cost most important...however ever more important...you can clamp it to a workbench...desk...dinning room table you name it...you could throw it in the back of bakkie and attach it to the tail gate in the parking lot. Now that i have a working unit...let the R&D begin...once i am happy with the design i will make an aluminum one What is so cool i can build up a bike on a stand and clip it with the stand against the wall.
  17. Toti 69er...we couldnt have asked for better conditions...stunning views and the weather was perfect. And won a lucky draw prize...a really nice merida jacket...thanks to leigh's cycles...lucky i ride a merida and it is the correct size[emoji3]

  21.
