  1. Definately not there either.
  2. Yes, I have tried there, only 2010 results, etc.
  3. Wendell, what type of events will it be? XCO? Where will you post the dates?
  4. I have looked everywhere, on the internet, in my emails, in my cupboard - even behind the stove and in the hamster cage, but I can not find the XCO 2012 calendar for GNC or CG. It seems that someone forgot that there should be XCO events here in Gauteng. The other provinces posted their events on the CSA calendar months ago. Or am I looking in the wrong places?
  5. Baie stout!!!
  6. I dont see the Gauteng XCO events on the 2012 CSA calender. Nou hoe nou? All the other provinces have their dates pinned down. KZN is always on the ball with these things.
  7. I have both. They are both faster.
  8. Welcome back Jacques "Big Blade" Rossouw!
  9. He is stupid.
  10. Don't coach such young children. They should just enjoy riding with no pressure.
  11. The Bontrager Revolt Super X is a fast rolling tyre and has a stronger casing and side wall than the Rocket Rons. It also rolls better than the Rocket Ron. Grips well in the corners and weighs only +/-495g. We use them on the back and front and sometimes we use them on the back only with a Bontrager Jones XC at the front. Rocket Rons are also good (we use them too), but we have sliced plenty of them.
  12. Yes, +1. The guys at Trinity Cycles really run their business for the love and the development of the sport, which is mtb, cycling and multisport. Their unselfish aproach to customer satisfaction is unique in this industry. There are a few good bike shops out there. This is one of them.
  13. Yip, I got it at 7 BAR as well. I think I will just buy the correct tyre. (Maybe some insulation tape will help until I get the tyre).
  14. Thanks, can you remember how much you paid for it?
  15. Thanks Mavro. Is Mavro Greek for something?
  16. I have my road bike on an indoor trainer, but now the (still in very good condition) back tyre slips badly making the thing impossible to calibrate or for proper use. There is a thin black line along the rolling surface of the tyre, indicating the slip area as well. My question: is there is specific tyre for the indoor trainer that will prevent this? The problem is definately not in the tightness of the wheel against the trainer's roller.
  17. I guess it will not be as effective as a "proper" upgrade to a dual suspension, but it will take the edge of the spine destructive bumps from the alloy hard tail?
  18. How much do these things cost?
  19. Some real good advice from all - thanks Hubbers.
  20. I am doing the Route 69 3-day stage race, starting tomorrow. I think I will need to use some bum cream. What shall I use?
  21. Geax has TNT technology (Tube No Tube). Works awesome. Seats properly, light enough, yet robust. Try the Geax Saguaro, but look for the red TNT emblem on the tyre.
  22. I used the USN VO2 Max, exeactly as prescribed. It was a waste of money in my opinion. No effect, not even as a placebo. Rather buy a KFC family feast for that money.
  23. Thanks to all the feedback. This was certainly more informative than I actually anticipated.
  24. Maybe this topic has been discussed before, but I need to buy my wife a new heart rate monitor. We need something that we can transfer training data to a PC. Her current Polar uses the Soniclink process, which is rubbish. I have been using a Polar S720 for almost 6 years now and it works fairly well. But I see that there are lost of nnew goodies on the market. What do the Hubbers think?
