  1. visit Groupon for the promotion of a life time. The pyro1100 will sell for about R1195. It should land the 18-22 June and we will have an opening price of R995 for the first few units. Just a note. We are only supplying 2 of the lights on the Groupon deal. The 1200 lumen light is not a Pyro light.
  2. I can lend you a unit for the night. let me know if you need one.
  3. Dis jammer. so 'n group ride in die week sal goed wees vir fikshuit.
  4. Kool, I think i will join the for one ride.
  5. is there any night group rides using these trails? if so where can i meet?
  6. I just love riding at night, mainly because I work during the daytime and have no real option and well because with the access to equipment i have it is not really night at all. BUT i am board with the same trails year in and year out. So where are other MTB night trails? Jonkershoek are semi legal. Stellenbosch mountain, Botmaskop and Simonsberg Thursday there are rides on Lourensford Wine Estate I have heard there are rides at Bottlary Hills Some times there are Night rides at Dirtopia But is that it?
  7. I will be riding this Tuesday 29 May from BMT at 18:00. If you don't have a light I can provide for 2 but you must arrange with me before the ride.
  8. Yes it took 30 days to get from AU to me. normally takes 10 days max
  9. hehe well you are helping. also as more people like this page more of the facebook "friends" will see my post so it will build a natural momentum.
  10. then get a some friends to like the page.
  11. I don't know. I started this campaign less than 2 months ago and we are on 363 so far. But lets see what happens over the next 3 months
  12. man I would so love to do this race
  13. If i made 50 - 150% profit on what i sell I would not mind to give a few units to pay with. I started riding at night with a small Sigma unit that had a halogen lamp. I think it did about 15 lumen? Night riding was limited to full moon but that is where i started. Some people will use a 50k bike and think MTB suck. where others will love it on a checkers bike. But it is a good suggestion and I will get out to some night spots in the next week or so.
  14. Ow, I got my LEDs today . that is 25 working days in transit....
  15. That R250-R350 is the cost for me. not the resale price. That 1200 lumen light on DX cost about $17-$24 and $6-$10 for transport on MOQ of 100.
  16. I have been importing lights for some time and was looking around for a cheap copy of the MJ808E that is worth reselling. I have found a few promising candidate in the R250-R450 range. So far none of them i would like to resell. If you are happy with a light of that quality then good. I prefer a light that has a water proof rubberized battery, a ZA 2 point charger, thermal protection and 4 level battery indication. I will not resell a light with a battery pack that is not completely water proof. never ever again. That is one rule that i have maid my self after what happened with the first MJ808s that had a heat-shrink battery. Really think about it. Buying a light for winter that is a open batter? that is crazy I am also "hande in die hare" over this delay. I am waiting for some amazing LED's to arrive and they where shipped via air mail on the 20th April. I have been calling everyday. The friendly post office workers know my voice by now I don't even have to say my name.
  17. demoing is easy, selling them is tricky
  18. Cape Leopard Trust, http://capeleopard.org.za/ Boland leopards Since the inception of the project, we have managed to photograph over 50 adult and sub-adult leopards in the area stretching from Bain's Kloof southwards to the Kogelberg. Camera surveys are used to identify individual leopards. Each leopard is numbered in order of identification, and the number is preceded by the letter 'F' (female) or 'M' (male) as well as the letter 'B' to denote that the leopard was found in the Boland project area, e.g. BF3 is the third female leopard to have been identified in the Boland. Some of these leopards have been given their own non-scientific names as well. As each leopard has a unique spot pattern, a left and right hand photograph are needed in order to establish an identikit. In addition, the presence of 24 other mammal species have been recorded, including African weasel, African wild cat, caracal, small- & large-spotted genet, Cape fox, aardwolf, baboon, Cape clawless otter, water mongoose, small & large grey mongoose, striped polecat, honey badger, porcupine, dassie, red rock rabbit, Cape & scrub hare, klipspringer, Cape grysbok, common duiker, grey rhebuck, and even bushbuck. Camera surveys are still underway throughout the study area, to obtain seasonal variation for each area, and to continue with the project's objectives. Our data thusfar has provided valuable information the mammalian inhabitants of this region.
  19. I get you Grebel. Will think about something else in the future. I am hoping to find a night race where I can get the lights as part of the entry or something like that. But still looking in to it.
  20. Pleasure. Well considering that I have been doing it for years I just thought it could be more official. And if the light was bought from me the charge will be very negotiable.
  21. It is amazed how many hubber's arn't on facebook. what does that make them; No face hub? Hub-noface?
