mmm... you normally lodge an compliant when the other rider did something wrong and your position was effected in the end. You can't lodge an complaint just because he beat you in the sprint..
and if the referee agree to the appeal, Jippy for the rider who lodged the appeal.

I would recommend for 30min a flat out TT. for 1h do 2x20min intervals. This way you will be building your aerobic capacity, which is a much bigger return than 30min to 60min just riding..

wheels make a difference in racing etc. But you will have a bigger advantage training right.. that's where cyclists (not all) make a mistake. They will rather ride the best equipment to help them, rather to just get a good training tool and coach which IMO is a lot cheaper and more fun if you can analyze the data and see your fitness improve.
