  2. this is going to stir another avid vs shimano fest fur shur my money is you are not screwing the reach adjuster out and then gently pushing the pistons back? quite alot of avid fitting problems solved on mtbr.
  3. keep my magicshine battery charged and a little led lenser as backup.....this morning was a dark morning to have my light die.
  4. just a small example. someone in a car stopped at a side road, is only interested in what is coming down the traffic side of the road, not what is coming up the other way. I strongly advise you rethink your strategy.....as you have stated.....you cycle on the WRONG side of the road. no flaming. regards common sense.

  10. It is happening on all rings (middle is worse than the others) And ja JB, i have been riding around the office in circles all morning, with my colleague as a spotter. we are both of the professional opinion that the chainrings are klaar. Enjoy your weekend okes, i am going shopping.
  11. It probably would end up as chainsuck if i go for a proper ride. this is like prechainsuck on every like 1/4 rotation. i have woken up WAY to late.....as the voortrekkers used to say. "as jy dom is moet jy k@k"
  12. what is happening now is the new chain is getting hooked by the chainring when it should be released, this only happens under load.
  13. Yes Thoroughly.
  14. http://sheldonbrown.com/chains.html Good read. Basically if you dont keep tabs on how "worn" your chain is getting, it eats all your other expensive stuff up.
  15. i just found out that i have ridden my bike without replacing the chain for WAY WAY too long. chain started slipping...badly. replaced chain & cassette - derailleur started "Stuttering" replaced rear derailleur wheels - slightly better, but still unacceptable. Chainrings next..... Sigh.....FML (totally my own fault tho)

  22. This morning on plattekloof rd, GA bus 1475(you can see the number in the 1st pic if you use CIA image noise reduction software) drives up the yellow lane (at speed) stops at a spot that is not a bus stop, continues just before the yellow lane becomes a left turning lane he stops again drops off more passengers, then proceeds to make a right turn over two straight lanes and into the right turning lane, this is consistently done every day by different buses. I am aware that I am opening myself up for abuse by the "point out other peoples wrongs" brigade, but I think this is more important. Do you all think that this can be forwarded to GA, and be admissible?
  23. ai ai, this is sad. cars should come standard with breathalyser ignitions.
