  1. There you go Danger Dassie, it was pretty, and the guy was in a very aero position, and had suprizingly long thighs.
  2. Whiskers is this threads secretary, and she is doing a great job.....and you well you arnt fat anymore well done.
  3. i am currently doing this, and getting rid of the old powdercoat is a *#(#@& pain in the a$$, priming, a slight pain, base coat a bigger pain and any extra addons (i am just going for a simple inner colour in the inside half of the front triangle) and it is also a huge pain. I recently saw this http://www.cyclefactory.co.za/bicycles/, they say that a respray is like 2,500 i dont know if that is neg, because to me that is pretty steep, but let me tell you, that you are letting yourself in for a mission.
  4. 112.8 - oops.
  5. haha, ja- i was joking about the drilling....someone should really invent a sarcasm font. I will get middleburn one from CRC. Thanks for your input.
  6. I have something that i must buy. Are you still going to do the order?
  7. You do make a valid point.....does the same apply with drilling my own holes? Apparently you get Truvativ rings that will work, does anyone know the validity of this?
  8. @ Drongo ja, i am weighing up the options between that and the above.
  9. manBearpig, apparently the XT ones are 2 mm different so you have to file the holes a bit, it is my current best plan, i was just wondering if there is a better idea.
  10. Mix as for weight, well it doesnt have any CO2 in so it is so light it actually floats. You can attach it to your bike, it will actually make it weigh less......honest. your bike also will balance better and be stronger if you take the powerbalance bracelet for an extra R12.
  11. Mix like this but bigger, this is the original image from the website. but just like the one that i own, but a bit smaller.
  12. Herbie, you want the canister? you could probably turn it into a bong. All that you would need is a freebody and a stem. I have 1 used worn mavic freebody for R12 and a long crappy stem also for R12 rand. interested?
  13. HiJack on do any of you guys want to buy a used soda stream canister? i am looking for R12 HiJack off
  14. I need to replace an XTR middle chainring off of the older m960 XTR crank i dont want to spend the bucks on XTR rings, apparently you get middleburn rings from the UK that fit, but i dont want to go through that mission, anyone got any idea's?
  15. i think to myself as i am sitting in traffic on blaawberg main road close to marine circle (didnt bike commute coz i am lazy ) This dude is in workboots trapping eggbeaters.....you all know the alert signs this is the second time this has happened to me, the 1st time it was a Giant Anthem, and we got the bike back. So BOOM a surge of adrenaline as i decide to follow this damned thief. i turn off the main road and backtrack one block, i manage to get back onto the main road and keep eye on the guy by turning down streets, and parking in driveways. A difficult task on a dual carrige way when the "perp" is cycling on the wrong side of the road. I call the cops on 10111 and brief them, they tell me that someone is on their way. Now i am a firm believer of NOT TAKING the law into your own hands, i will tip off cops and trail suspects but i am going to confront the suspect. About 15 mins and 10km later the guy is in the coastal suburbs, i am still managing to follow him at a distance, i really didnt feel right about confronting the guy, eventually he stops at a house, and stands by the gate, i park at the corner about 60meters away and call the cops again and update them regarding my whereabouts. The house gate opens and the suspect goes inside, **** i think to myself, now i have made a buggerup, by being a cautious and in my mind clear thinking citizen i have screwed myself and whoever owns this bike, because now the cops will need a warrant or something. The cops arrive, and tell me that it is fine, i must just show them the house. I do that, and they take my name and number and say that i can leave, but i dont i wait around. They are let into the property and after about 10 minutes they come out. Apparently the guy that i saw is the gardener, and his other employer is an american chap that recently got another bike, and gave this guy his old bike. From my point of veiw the cops in Tableview are competent, and if they didnt think anything was sneaky then i believe them. I just wanted to share this with you all for two reasons, there are always discussions regarding stolen bikes and the probability that even though the guy doesnt look like the rightful owner, that doesnt mean that the bike isnt his, although i dont think this is the norm, i would say maybe 10%. Also (i didnt get close enough to see the branding - it could be a OnOne) but if anyone has recently had a metallic fire engine red 29er with a White Fox fork and eggbeaters stolen, i know the house where they took it. And just because this is thehubsa i would like to say screw you in advance to anyone that tries to flame me for not following the correct procedure in their vigalentesque opinion.
  16. Agree with Mampara but a different method, Drink more beer.
  17. 112, finally starting to get into a good routine so amped to see it come off in the coming months. Unfortunately a collegue just seriously pissed me off, and what do i do? i run off to the canteen and chow lunch.......twice. i really need to curb the comfort eating.
  18. why not keep your bike and build some strength plyometric (bodyweight) training into your off the bike workouts. Squats, lunges , squat jumps, burpees stuff like that?
  19. guess thats why you got that Horatio avatar.
  20. omlette that is a very inaccurate method, there is a grace of something like 15 beats either way.
  21. just take the second option, I did and the cops were there in 5 minutes and the bike was recovered.
  22. then again you wouldnt know if you had a problem until you died or had a cardiogramiologyomappything under stress.
  23. i did a ride where my HR was 90 - 95% of max for most of the 2 and a half hours, except for a couple of water stops and such. I must say that it totally f*&ked me up, my HR was actually elevated the entire night after that, i got worried and couldnt sleep properly but it came right the next day. I recon that if your heart is healthy and there is no underlying problem/blockage then you can cane yourself with no harm.SuperVan is that the 1st time that you did that to yourself?
  24. hey woofie take your MTB, cycle to a train station, and cycle in the middle of the traintracks just ahead one of the trains that stop at the old mutual station. That will be AWESOME training. Good luck with your contract
  25. i went to steers instead
