  1. I'm finding the new estimation method pretty close to what I've achieved through the Trainerroad ramp test. Quite interesting to see estimated FTP line which changes based on your rides - red box in attached image. You'll be able to see my as tested FTP in the image and well and can see the closeness of the estimated value. Perhaps the higher estimate is the result of a real out-and-out effort, HdB? Maybe you're holding back on your Zwift test
  2. Was the ride done on an indoor trainer? Erg mode? I've found that when doing an endurance effort indoor ride, the long duration without large change leads to the graph producing a bad fit. You'll see that when you give it a bigger spread to work with, the fit will improve. I'm including a TR Pettit workout; bad result. And a TR Bluebell workout; good result. The spread of data in the good fit is larger because there were intervals and then recovery periods.
  3. Your Garmin position wouldn't work for me. When I'm starting to gnaw the bar tape and standing on a climb, my knees have a tendency of striking my stem bolts. I fear I'd break the Garmin mount.
  4. This is fabulous, David! Thank you. I was always wondering if my fatigue was too high but your new addition shows that while I did skate perilously close to the red, I didn't cross it and went into a rest phase perfectly for me.
  5. Can you believe it! It feels like last year that I gave you a call and we chatted about moving to NZ. All systems go for citizenship!
  6. I will attempt to video what happens and will email it through.
  7. I’ve had a problem crop up at times with the addition of an interval. I’m using Chrome. You press A and then the interval flashes up for a second and then vanishes. You have to move the cursor around and try multiple times. When it does insert it, in the process of resizing and without dragging edges over one another, the interval will vanish again.
  8. Did you have to remove your number plate to fit them?
  9. Or you simply download the “Brisbane Bin” app and you can quickly check. I’ve heard and quite sure I’ve read it on the council website that it is illegal to scavenge from the sidewalk on bulk item collection rounds. I doubt it’s strictly enforced based on the number of utes etc coming through during that period.
  10. On my Edge 520 if you enter sensors and navigate to the radar, you can check on the battery that way. It doesn’t show a percent but rather “Good” “OK” etc
  11. I love mine. I also got the newer model. As you say, the range is great, gives you that added level of awareness especially when descending at speed with wind noise in your ears. It does chew through the battery of my Edge 520 though. Always need to make sure it’s fully topped up before heading out on longer rides.
  12. I need to find one for Aus! Edit: Found it; https://www.priceme.com.au/
  13. Out of all the TV discussion, my greatest interest is in the price-watching graphs. Where do you get that information?
  14. Thanks Wayne I'll keep you top of the list for the NZ bike trip
  15. I seem to remember from reading about it this morning that he described what happened after the egging as, "Being attacked by 30 bogans."
  16. I can see a 42d curve on my side. I notice now that there is a W' value in the "This season" row of W' 38,692 J. Is this being calculated by the models? I think I'll start my W' at about 20,000 and see how things pan out.
  17. I'm quite happy with entering the W' for each activity. My question was born more from a point of a potential bug than something I must have.
  18. Further to the W' function. It got me thinking, "What is my W'?" I found a site that calculates an AWC (W') using some of your previous tested/personal best interval power averages. Apologies David, if intervals.icu already does this. I didn't managed to find it though. https://www.cyclingpowerlab.com/monodcriticalpower.aspx Using the above linked site, I entered some of my season PB's. This gave me an AWC (W') of 30,800 J. I might not have the right value so let me know if this is wrong. To your knowledge. Interesting when you stick that value (30,800) into the activity. You think you're going to blow chunks and you see that you're only 1/2 through your store of J. It also gives the approximate CP below which level I'd recover or above which I'd use Joules. My gut tells me this value is too high for me but I have no other way of obtaining my W'.
  19. Thanks David. One thing I've picked up. I added my approximate J level in the settings section. When I visit activities after adding the value to the settings page, I have blanks. I then need to add "J" value for each activity. It's not being carried through from the settings page.
  20. Thanks David. Am I looking at the correct location?
  21. You mention Redwoods. Is this Rotorua? Some mates and I are looking at arranging a five day holiday in Rotorua around November this year. That or hitting The Pioneer ... Either way, I'm looking forward to it!
  22. Bin chooks They’re fierce
  23. Sounds like a quick buck exercise. And with the March 2020 deadline drawing ever nearer, you'll only see more companies doing this and charging more as well. Cashkows, now Fin Global had a good reputation for doing this type of thing when I moved over. I'll be doing more research on this through the year as well.
