  1. You meet the nicest people on motorcycles. But the really nicest ones ride Harley's ????????????
  2. ????
  3. Picture of the bike with the screen on. Looking for ideas for my son in laws bike. I have the detachable screen that mounts on the front shocks. Apparently that looks like a Swot shield and not what he is looking for ????
  4. If this thread gets closed down that would be tragic. As it is, I don't come to the Hub much of late due to no Tapatalk.
  5. Same size as positive from what I can see
  6. My negative terminal would keep loosening itself. Only the negative one. Googled it and it's rather common. Blue loctite sorted it out.
  7. My Wide Glide manual has a hot and a cold check. Both ways the bike is on the side stand. I always check it cold because the dipstick plug sits on the bend of the V&H Big Radius exhaust and it gets flippen hot in that area
  8. @Hairy https://www.fuelmotousa.com/p-29661-harley-trouble-codes.html Not sure if you used this website as a reference for the error codes?
  9. Filtering is even better when loadshedding causes traffic chaos with robots not working. Makes it such a breeze and always puts a huge smile on my face.
  10. I have a quick detachable screen. Only use it when I hit the open road. Bike looks better without it. Town riding is fine without a screen.
  11. ????
  12. Looks really nice and clean.
  13. This is not aimed at anyone on this forum. It's more of a general observation. Why do people always feel the need to counter suggest bikes/vehicles. Like when a person says I am buying a KTM. Then you hear how **** KTM and you need to rather get a BMW and so on. Same for cars. Last year on one of our group MTB rides, I mentioned to the one guy I can't wait to get my Harley. He turns around and says you can get way better options and starts suggesting alternatives. I replied " when you get to spend my money on something I want for myself, then you get to make the suggestions". I must of upset him as that was the last ride he did with us ????
  14. Plus 100. Operator (Dewald) on Wild Dogs did a fantastic insurance deal on my Harley. Also helped my son with his Daytona.
  15. That Rocket 3 is next level. Had one on demo for half a day way back when they first came out.
  16. My regular riding partner has one. Distance wise the same as my Lezyne. Elevation gain is a bit out compared to the Lezyne.
  17. A lot of guys look me the full house type of Harley. Road King and the ultra and whatever. Me I like the stripped down version, hence the Wide Glide. While Hairy admits he does not like the Wide Glide, I suspect he also likes the stripped down or understated look if that makes sense?
  18. Guy on the Harley can ride and then some.
  19. My riding partner has one. Does what it needs to do. Auto sync to Strava and pretty much the same accuracy as my Lezyne. All in all he is extremely happy with it.
  20. That is a very generous offer to Hairy concerning the detachable screen. I use mine on the open road, around town I leave it off.
  21. These are the pics I was referring to.
  22. I just strap a bag to the pillion seat and sissy bar. My sissy bar is quick release so I normally leave it off when I ride solo but put it back when using a bag. I am thinking of having another sissy bar made. Pics in my next post as inspiration. Something about the pics that just make me want to head out for 2 weeks with no plan but just to ride.
  23. My Harley is my only bike. Furthest I have ridden it in one go is just over 400 km so a round trip of almost 800km. No issues for me. I also don't plan on doing 1000km per day trips either. I can hustle my Wide Glide through passes and corners quicker than some sportbike riders. So what I am saying is, at this point in my life, it ticks all the right boxes. That's all that counts. I might sell it later or I might keep it. At this stage it is a keeper.
  24. Yep, I have ridden that 765R. Unbelievable little bike. Agree on the 1200.
  25. Pic of all four bikes
