  1. By paying your own way you get to stay friends and no need to look for new buddies πŸ™‚
  2. Each person pays their own way.
  3. I could mostly do this when I had my Harley. The engine braking is really good. Would battle to do it with the Rocket.
  4. Same here. I have never locked up the back wheel and ripped up a trail.
  5. That's what she said πŸ€πŸ˜‰πŸ€£πŸ˜‚
  6. Big guns in the parking this morning.
  7. I am the same as you. My MTB brakes are rear on the right and front on the left. When on the MTB my main brake is the rear so my dominant right hand is in control. Same as when on a motorbike. I have gotten so used to it and the muscle memory is so I grained, if I had to swop the brakes on my MTB to match a motorbike, that would totally screw me over.
  8. It's easier to ask for forgiveness than permission πŸ˜‰
  9. Take that Rocket for a ride even if you do not intend buying it. I had a demo model way back in 2005. The memory lasted and finally I have managed to own one.
  10. My Dyna Wide Glide had self cancelling indicators. The Rocket not. Will admit they are handy.
  11. I think Triumph copied the American's "ain't no substitute for cubic inches"
  12. You totally 100% right 🀣😁😁😁
  13. The "smile on the dial" is permanent with this bike I picked up a dice with a convertible BMW the other day. We were both at the front at the robots. I held back and stayed just inline with his door. Next robot is red and he has a big smirk on his face, so we do a rinse repeat when it goes green. Only this time I did not hold back..... 😁🀣🀣 It takes a lot of car to out drag most bikes never mind a Rocket.
  14. A bit longer than 20 minutes. Must add that with the price of petrol and the Rockets fuel consumption at speed, it was a rather expensive bottle of wine 🀣🀣
  15. Perfect weather in PE today, wife says she needs a bottle of red wine for a brisket she is cooking. I say no problem I will go on the Rocket. Nearest bottle store is 1km from my house. Got there and messaged her I will be a bit longer than planned. Hoofed is out to JBay quickly and got the wine there and came back home 😁😁😁 Best part was on the way out, a Lexus tried his luck at a robot, he got schooled and then on the way in a youngster in a Civic also tries a robot to robot. Well he got properly schooled. I think people look at the Rocket and think "just another Harley lookalike" 😁😁
  16. I am not even going to post my Rockets fuel consumption πŸ˜ƒ
  17. When I was growing up we lived in Welkom. Originally from East London so we travelled a lot backwards and forwards. One particular memory that stays with me, we were travelling down to EL in the dark. This would of been around 1981. Pouring with rain and a bike pulls up behind is and stays there. Would not overtake but sat there for kilos and kilos. We stopped in Aliwal North for petrol and the bike also pulls in. The rider looks like a drowned rat, totally soaked. He was riding a CB400F like yours. My Mom poured him a cup of hot coffee and gave him a rusk. My Dad asks how come you did not overtake? He replied that the mudflaps on by Dad's Chev kept the spray down and as long as he stayed in the track behind that wheel and mudflap he stayed reasonably dry. The memories that stick with us.
  18. Man alive those exhaust headers are just awesome
  19. I thing of beauty and timeless good looks
  20. Pic of the 750F please?
  21. My cycling buddy was just saying over the weekend that he could happily go back to a hard tail again.
  22. I have a friend who works for BMG. Just about every cycle shop buy bearings from BMG. At least here in PE.
  23. Do what the surfer's do to warm up their wetsuits 😜😁
