Well, that was a fun read! Much emotive talk, lots of jumping onto soap boxes and band wagons, good fun. I was in that bunch, I crossed the white line, the comm's could have started controlling us earlier and then the white line rule would heave been enforced a bit better, whatever, it doesn't matter. The issue at hand is (as the topic states): The fact that the comm tried to take us out! Not slow down a little or any gentleness. He tried to f*ck us, it would have been nice if he'd at least bought me a glass of wine before he tried to f*ck me though. At this point I am restraining myself from uttering many 4 letter expletives.

Did a December run with Felix 2 years ago, awesome, maybe try the 4 day option instead of the 3 day because you have to cover the same distance so the 4 day is more relaxed.

Rear Derailleur RDM970 SGS Low Normal is a Rapid Rise, RDM772 SGS is the opposite with the new hidden hardware, a better choice if you ask me. Front Derailleur, what frame? Unless it's something silly you'll need the FDM970 Dual Pull Multi fit clamp. Shifters, do you want the pods to be seperate or do you want that whole all in one thing?

Any decent FS is gonna set you back in the region of 15 gorilla's, 26" or 29". I think the R.I.P.9 is a little less than this and the Titus is a little more, the GF HiFi pro complete is in the region of R28,000 once again wheel size independant. A friend just moved from a Yeti ASR-SL (FS) to a Niner EMD9 (HT) and he's loving it, but he has issues anyway. I know the Spesh guys are also doing a 29'er this year but doubt they'll bring any in.

What R20,000! What frame you trying to buy? Niner's are available, Fisher's are available, should be a few others as well. They kick ass, I now have 2 and want more! Just because.
