I've only ridden it on very light off road stuff at this point, most of the riding has been on the road, seeing as I have a broken collar bone and all! Do the 29'er! What we can do is all get a couple of 29'er tyres, getting them isn't an issue but as always getting them at the Epic might be an issue (like brake pads last year after day 1), so we get them all together and find a friend who doesn't mind transporting them for us, that way we're all covered, I'm gonna make sure that there are a few spare 29'er rims available as well. the rest of the stuff is pretty standard, unless you snap a frame or fork?

Ride the HiFi 29'er on a trial, you'll probably buy one, that's why they're doing it. It's an easy way to sell a bike.

Not sure if the front end of that bike is suspension corrected? That would be a nice ride, but like I said earlier, have a look at the GF Rig, also a straight off the shelf 29'er SS except it already has the Reba.

Hey Ox, yeah I do agree, that's why I say if you can't sping for the FS then get a 29'er HT, there are now quite alot of guys bringing in, so we have options, finally! In fact a friend of mine just built up his Niner HT 29'er, it's actually a damn nice bike! Nice geometry.

Alternatively you can get a Reba 100mm or a Fox F100RLC and stop riding like girl, no offence to those girls that can ride.

If you are forced to take a hardtail, then yes take a 29'er hardtail, if not then take a 29'er full sus.

One correction guys the Reba is not the downgrade of the SID, it's the same internals on beefier externals, in fact I think the comparison of a fox to a Reba is fair and accurate, both stiff, both work well.
