  1. First purchase from them went 100%. Second one, not looking so good. What was ordered and what was recieved was not the same...Sent the wrong item back. Cost me money to do that. Waiting to find out if I will be refunded for their mistake...And also waiting for a raply on IF I can have what they advertised... The courier service was good though! So that is 1 up and 1 down for CWC. And 1 up for the courier. In the meantime while I wait for some answers, I wll be in my garage playing with some stuff.
  2. Chris, why is the stuff I need out of stock? You are breaking my heart man! I just ordered some stuff from you - awaiting delivery! Still looking for a XT RD though...No one has!
  3. Oh one more thing: As from their website: To be eligible for a refund, together with return postage, you will need to return a genuine Power Balance product along with proof of purchase (including credit card records, store barcodes and receipts) from an authorised reseller in Australia They wont even have to refund 10%of the tjops that have these...Simply because NO ONE would have kept all the required records... Damn these PB okes were/are smart!
  4. Well I love Power balance bands. I love the way they make me feel...Eventhough I dont own one. Ya' see, when I see someone with one, I think to myself: "Cheese, what a tjop..." It is nice knowing that I am not at the bottom of the food chain yet and there are dumber people than me out there...
  5. There is a story about a guy who at the finish area at an event, brought his bike, a Merida, into the beer tent. Someone shouted to him that he can't bring his bike into the tent. So he replied: "This is not a bike, it is a Merida." Anyway, my opinion is Merida's are great bikes that are worth upgrading. The wife owns one and she loves it! As for 29'rs - Burry Stander said that no matter what, everone will be faster on a 29'r. And as for it being for bigger guys - Burry is not that big. But my opinion on them is that they are still just bikes that need to peddaled. 2x10 gropupset? Marketing crap! My bike has a 3x9 and I use only about 1x4 95% of the time!
  6. That is like supporting the bulls AND the stormers.
  7. So now we are going to start splitting hairs over "arb" stuff like rant and rave and chit chat? But this topic is in the right section though.
  8. Just one last footnote: One only use 1.5 scoops of sealant per wheel. So the bottle of sealant I got with the kit is still half full - maybe a bit more. When i had my first tubeless conversion done by an LBS, they must have used the whole bottle 'cause I got nothing back! So, when having your LBS do your tubeless conversion, ask them about YOUR half full bottle of sealant...
  9. She did notice - the tires are not all black so... And she does appreciate it she says. And yes, I am/was more excited about it than she was...
  10. I used the stans kit = it works well. Wasn't even nodig to remove the valve core. It inflated that easy. PS: It was mavic X117 rims and Michelin XCR tyres - just for info.
  11. I got the wheels inflated with a floor pump - onetime!
  12. Just finished getting my wifes bike's wheels TUBELESS! Got it right first time! No leaks, not a single one! Wish I had more wheels to make tubeless!
  13. I have a GEAX UST on a DT Swiss rim and it too looses air. I have to pump it once a week.
  14. Bell Sweep for me. It was on special.
  15. I stood in the store and had a UST and non-UST and I could not tell the difference between the sidewalls. The two extreems would be Maxxis with L.U.S.T and then something like the Kenda Karma non-UST - you can see the difference in sidewall thickness!
  16. Ek weet nou nog nie hoe de hel hy dit reggekry het...Seker maar geweld.
  17. Seker maar oor ek nie my post klaar getik het nie. Oooops! Maar dan ook nou weer, maak ek ooit sin? Hehehehe
  18. These are Michelins. R340. UST. 685g. It's called the XCR dry. So I can assume it will be crap in the wet. But then again, the wife does not do riding in the wet. As I was looking around, I realised there are a crap load of choices. What I want to know is why not a non-UST tyre on a UST rim? It is lighter and cheaper. Yeah, there is the sidewall thing, but you now get non-UST tyres with a slightly thicker sidewall. Any of you running non-UST on UST rims?
  19. Ok, So I have to go the tubeless route with the wifes bike since she had a pinch flat at Cullinan and, yah well, you know how it goes. So I got her these:
  20. The one thing I don't always agree with is coffee. Dunno why people think its bad for you when trying to loose weight. The full cream milk and the sugar in the coffee, yes, that might cause a problem if you have to much coffee. I lost 16kg in 5-6 weeks and I still had like 5 cups a day. Granted, I lost the weight out of the spcified 1 kilo/week rule, but so what? I did not die from it! The one thing I do now is that a calorie is not just a calorie - all calories are not equal. I believe you get good calories and bad calories.
  21. I was pondering on using a monorail as a front tyre. I get mixed reviews on this. Thing like dodgy grip, wears quikly... Anybody using these?
  22. My pronutro lunch: 1. Fat free vanilla yogurt. 2. Ice 3. Pro Nutro 4. Peanut butter 5. banana Blend.
  23. Assos bum cream is...uhm...crap...
  24. On the internet - YOU CAN BE ANYTHING! Even a world class cyclist!
  25. Ja nee, geseende kersfees vir julle almal.
