  1. If I was you, I would remove both peddals. Then slightly grease the peddal threads. Re-insert. If that does not work, remove BB, lightly grease threads. Re-insert. But my money is on the peddals...
  2. Better yet. learn to do it yourself.
  3. My wife is a sports fisio, and she reckons Dr. Thys de Beer (LCM) or Dr. Theo Rosch (Jacaranda) IF it is only for shoulders! Dan Dup is knees only...Well he specialises in knees...:-)
  4. A mtb is not much harder on the wallet...However, maintenance eats up most of your time...Especially if you have a racing snake for a wife and you have to do her bike as well...
  5. While getting a post race rubdown on the quads from the wife the other day she said to me: "I am so glad you shave your legs..." "Why?" I asked. "Well, guys with leg hair start crying like girls when they have leg cramps and the physio has to rub and man handle their legs to get rid of the cramps. The hair just makes the pain so much worse!" Friction. Good old science.
  6. Looks like a girls bike...Or let me rephrase: Looks like it belongs to a lady.
  7. *sigh*...Wish I could enter.
  8. I get a sports massage everytime before a race. Wife being a fisio and all! On Saterday after Sabie I got a rub down - did not even have to ask!!! Nah, I love my wife more than I love my bike!!!
  9. Oh come on! Why should the OP give CWC the chance to correct the buyers issues? Shouldn't the bike have left the store 100% fixed, tuned and dailed in? The money that the buyer paid with was 100% legit and ok, so the equipment should be too! In principle, when buying ANYTHING, I go over it with a fine toothed comb! These days you can't trust anyone!
  10. Good for saddles sores? Does not sound "good" to me...
  11. GT. It just says MTB HT!!!!
  12. She is not for sale dude... :-)
  13. will open in PTA east on the 7th of March 2010. Her idea is to focus on sporting injuries. I will post more details soon so watch this space!
  14. Flippit but you roadies can whine! :-)
  15. And that is what I will have to do.
  16. Post a pic of the bike first... There is one of 2 routes to go: Performance upgrades Bling upgrades Do you want to look goodor go fast?
  17. That is how long it took from buycycle.co.za to me. No, not all their fault - I had some issues with the courier as well. However, The worst is just when I opened it - IT WAS NOT WHAT I ORDERED!!! Ayayayayayaya. Now let's see if they can make up for it and how long does it take... I guess this will ALWAYS be the problem with ordering online - you wait one million years and then when it arrives it is not what you ordered.
  18. I have the doc...You gonna need 2 (or at least one) 19" cone spanner! I could not find one so I made my own.
  19. Simple - wieght consists of 3 major factors: 1. Water 2. Fat 3. Muscle Loose fat, retain water and gain muscle - et voila, your weight stays the same.
  20. I changed the battery on my wife'spolar. No problem. But then again, I am a technical dude and I can do stuff myself.
  21. I got these. To much white on a mtb...not for me.
  22. It Geax...I mean, leaks a bit of air yes, but it grips nice and is better in the wet than th X'marks I had before. Only raced with them once and that was 70km in the mud!
  23. My 2c worth: I have tubeless rims. My wife doesn't. I used Stans rim strips. I have Geax Tyres The wife has Michelin tyres. The wife's bike's tires does not lose as much air as mine and when I test ride her bike (I know I shouldn't) it just feels as if her tyres roll a lot faster than mine. (Paid R600 for both Michelins!) Point is, it does not matter what you use and what you do. But just get it, it's worth it.
  24. I wanted to complain but my order is on it's way - DAMMIT!
  25. Wife watching over my shoulder - can't talk now! Just kidding!
