  1. Well, it is the first day after the Alpes... I don't think it's got anything to do with doping, if they wanted to lift the pace I'm sure they could've... but why would they today?
  2. I think it's still reasonable, as long as it is well organised. I do agree that the CSA licensing fees are unnecessary though... If you saw something for that money it would be a different story.
  3. Luke, rumour has it you received yours... Give us some detail plz
  4. That's the problem now. You don't know who is implicated. If a shop's name appears on the list it doesn't neccesarily mean that they agreed to price fixing, it only means that they attended the meeting. But, I doubt that there will be only 4...
  5. He's still a great player... just a great player that somehow lost the ability to think!
  6. Yup, noticed that as well. Your own name is always nr 1.
  7. Paul is in a German aquarium, so I doubt whether they will do this again... Maybe after all the publicity they received, but somehow I don't think they will be too soccer crazed for the final! La Furia Roja!
  8. It's probably not the answer you want but go with clipless pedals. It's not just about pedalling power but also, when your feet are stuck to the bike you have more control over the bike and less chance of your feet slipping and losing balance, especially on rocky downhills. Yes, you need to get used to it and will fall quite allot in the beginning but once you are used to it, you won't look back. Wrong answer, I know...
  9. Let's take this outside!!! ...meaning: I'll start a thread.
  10. Speculation, differences in opinion... looks to me like a recipe for a good ol' argument. Ok, ok, I have to agree, it got a little bit out of hand... And you don't have to say anything about the soccer tonight... It's a one horse race Viva La Espana!
  11. This is Awesome!!!! thanks bos!
  12.   I love this!! Anyway, it's not about better, harder or whatever... It's about Lance winning the TdF 7 straight times. Once Contador gets there, we can start comparing... until then it's all just speculation.
  13. Olympics... best value you can find.
  14. A quote from an article written in 2008... "Armstrong, who turns 37 on Sept. 18, came back to cycling in 1998 after recovering from testicular cancer that spread to his brain and lungs. He won the Tour de France, the sport's most prestigious race, for a record seventh straight time in 2005. The Austin, Texas, resident's statement said he's returning ``to raise awareness of the global cancer burden.'' ``This year alone nearly 8 million people will die of cancer,'' he said. ``It's now time to address cancer on a global level.'' " Done us all a favour you say? I think not...
  15. ...and I heard him say afterwards that he only pedalled with his left leg
  16. And... (do this in one breath)He came seventh in the Argus which means that there are seven cyclists in South Africa that is better than him and taking into account that many describe Lance as the best cyclist ever, even considering that his main focus has always been the Tour de France, this would in effect mean that there are 6 guys in South Africa that is better than the best cyclist of all time and therefore that they are the 6 best cyclists of all time and that this means that South Africa is the greatest cycling nation in the woooooorld! (deep breath)
  17. Don't hold your breath... I don't see anything coming of this. Honestly, for the last 10+ years people have tried to prove that he is a doper. Why would this year be any different than the previous 10? Because Floyd said something? Oh please!
  18. There's only one Tour that matters...
  19. He is only retiring so that he can focus on his preparations for the 2011 Cape Epic... He needs time to convince Burry to ride with him
  20. I doubt they will discuss it... especially seeing that one of the presenters is on the list...
  21. Again, More SA buyers = More competitive pricing? Doesn't make sense... This does not correlate with fundamental economic principles. The more buyers there are in the market the more you can up your prices. It's especially now when there are less buyers in the market that you have to focus on competitive pricing. We can overcomplicate things, but, simply put, there are two ways to maximise profit. 1 - control your costs, and 2 - sell more bikes. How do you sell more bikes? You make sure you are priced right... Make your differentiating factor the one that is most important to everyone... Money! i.e. Price.
