  1. Ouch!!! This was also the last year I flew our bikes down. Will make another plan next year. Airlines just don't give a sh|t!
  2. I agree, bitching about money is not cool. Start a thread for everyone to complain about their salaries and it will never end! Still, even though this is just a 1 day stage race, it still is the biggest in the world. R16k for the winner is also not cool.
  3. Whose tweets are those? R16k is shocking!
  4. Shocking! They used the wind as an excuse. But you can't blame them - how would they have known that they need to prepare for windy conditions... especially after last year...
  5. Nice! New route @ Babbas and I'm stuck having lunch with the mother-in-law...
  6. Thinking of heading to Groenies as well tomorrow. I think I semi-recovered after Sundays Argus. At least it will be cool in comparison - only 30 degrees!
  7. SABC2 from 6h00... for us poor fellows having to miss the race.
  8. ? On a off topic what would you call someone who also overcame big odds in the form of arrving DOA twice at hospital in his teenage years from drugs, in and out of rehab to finally come right and get on a bicycle , win races and overcome the odds that no one ever thought he would?? ? Would that also not make him GREAT? ? Or someone who is 175kg and gets on his bike to lose 75kg isnt that GREAT? ? Just asking. Yes, Lance inspires many different kinds of people. Some say that last year he inspired one of his teammates to win a race somewhere in Europe... France, I think...
  9. Don't be a panzy! Do it barefoot!!
  10. I really hope Lance goes for it! He's riding solo, well pretty much... No one really knows how big a gap there is between our riders and guys like LA. However, being a one day stage race, do you think there'll be that much of a gap? I'm just thinking that he's good at being great (if that makes sense) over 3500kms through the Pyrenees, Alps, etc etc etc, with a super team and bruyneel behind him the whole time. Will you really see his class in a one day stage race? I just don't know... So many questions, so little time! Can't wait for sunday!!!!!! GO LANCE!!
  11. Is it perhaps one of the hubbers who wrote this??? Brilliant!
  12. That's really stunning photos! I'm sweating just seeing it again!
  13. Yet yesterday he didn't have a problem when random people took photos of him whilst out on his ride. Funny how people just change from one day to the next... But it must be because he hates kids! That's also the reason why he spent his entire morning yesterday at a local primary school...
  14. How great are you when you can raise millions, literally, for your cancer foundation with a quick 100km bike ride...
  15. I've been checking everyday hoping that the weather will cool down a bit... No luck!! SATURDAY 06/03 Clear skies Min: 23?c Max: 39?c Wind: SE 20km/h SUNDAY 07/03 Clear skies Min: 25?c Max: 41?c Wind: SE 20km/h Fun Fun Fun!!!!Squier2010-03-04 04:19:21
