  1. They will. Got a set of DA28 rims laced to Novatec hubs (28 spokes). Used them for bout two years and they are now doing duty on the wife's steed. Still going strong and true as the day they were built. And not too heavy either at just under 1800gr for the set.
  2. Imagine the hoo ha there will be then....
  3. Im in Cpt but If you willing to sort out postage i have a set you can borrow. Nothing fancy, just a set of Giant wheels. They converted tjoepless and have a set of X-kings fitted.
  4. Cant recall all the complaints bout that store but i have seen many in the past.... Why do you guys keep going there if their service is k@k? Oh and welcome to the hub
  5. There is a simple solution.... Just use vinyl to change the pink to a different colour. That wont interfere with any guarantee on the frame
  6. Not another Avid/Shimano debate please
  7. Jip. Love my Tallboy
  8. Nothing other than a Santa Cruz Tallboy tarted up with girly colours and a ladies name.
  9. A bit less than two sticks ex postage
  10. 11. Lol nothing wrong with having a bit of fun on Wacky Wednesday .... Halfway to moermekaar Fridays
  12. Im with Mayhem here. I have both Shimano and Avids. Both sets bought second hand and both sets were rather poorly maintained and showed the same signs of brake fade, no stopping etc. Its quite simple, new pads and a proper bleed sorted both sets and with proper maintenance on both sets to be honest they will last forever. I prefer my Avids so to all that wants to throw theirs away throw them my way please
  13. I would extend the black to the wheels as well on the black side..... Looks odd on that side with the white rim. Just saying
  14. If you dont come right you can have my spacer kit mahalla that I used on my ss before I got the Rapide set. Its made up of old casette spacers but works a charm as Hairy suggested. Collect in Bellville if you can on Friday. I wont be available before then though.
  15. And through all the work I managed to finally finish my own ride today. She started off as just a weiry old front triangle I got as part payment for a job. So I ended up fixing her up and started scavenging for parts till I ended up with this stunner. I need to thank a few people and a certain generous hubber that donated a crucial part of the frame and made this build possible. Many many thanks Talus and Onetime. Also thanks to CWC that sourced the final linkages and bolts at a decent price. Attitude Cycles for the groupset. And thanks to all my buds for the moral support in listening to my whining about parts for my Tallboy. Some final tweaks and a nice set of trail pedals is still needed.....
  16. Photos does NOT do this colour justice trust me.... Fluo yellow...
  17. So the wife is at work today and im taking over ..... My Tallboy in the making
  18. Rather have the colour matched locally and have it sprayed this side. The paint the rice munchers use is a bit rubbish to be honest. Worked on a few frames lately where the paint was seriously suspect. Just my 2c.
