  1. I've had no issues with the my bikes and always get compliments for how clean my bikes are. Plus dishwash doesn't effect your brakes and great for cleaning the cassette. But hey if you feel it doesn't work for you cool 👍🏻
  2. Lekker morning out, perfect weather. I recently bought this bike wash after years of using dishwash. If you hate someone buy them this 💩! The whole bike was white all over after multiple rinses, from a quick wash to a huge pain in the .....
  3. The correct way to enjoy the 24h Oak Valley 😁🍻
  4. Knipe racing in Durbanville. I love how calm or deur die k@k the two cyclists are. Best part Louis shop is not even 1km away from the police just shows these clowns don't care. Scariest part is how that one handled the gun it is just pure luck he didn't shoot anyone, I was hoping he would shoot himself or his partner.
  5. I passed at least 2 ebikes with dead batteries, is there a better feeling I think it topped the topless girl near Clifton 😂 I think I'd rather tow the buggy than ride an ebike with a dead battery 🤣 Crashes was the order of the day, on the m3 around Constantia turn off I managed just to miss a group crash, last thing I want to be is responsible for Levi to get hurt. With the issues with the buggy put us quite far back and we passed a lot of people when we got it sorted, they were tired and not focused even with Johan riding ahead of me warning people of the buggy coming we still had people get tangled up with the buggy but luckily no crashes. On one of our stops to give Levi water and check he is still good (aways off the road out the way) we were nearly hit by someone just looking down and riding straight at us. It took some words of encouragement for him to wake up. Best sign of the day was that girl with "quick pomp" just before Chappies 😂
  6. My average hr was 160 😂 after finally getting the buggies wheels to stay on at Millers point I was bietjie moerig so trapped all of my frustration out 🤣 the buggy does make it challenging especially in the wind and being so dik doesn't help. But it was a fun day out, great people and gees all the way 👌🏻 will be back next year better prepared and fit as die groot man dit toelaat. 🙏🏼
  7. Dis altyd lekker om te sien 😊
  8. A lekker day out even with the issues, after the m3 to miller's point the buggies wheels kept on falling off. Luckily found some tools and a little frustration and we where good to go 😁 thank you to everyone who helped along the way 🍻 my boet burnt out and was along for comedy relief 😂 lekker gees on the route 👌🏻Levi and I will be back next year, I need to train more and loose weight (surprised myself today legs felt strong) 💪🏼 VID-20260308-WA0068.mp4 VID-20260308-WA0070.mp4
  9. Ons begin laat die jaar 7h50 laas jaar was 7h20. Klink nie na veel maar maak n groot verskil met die hitte vir Levi.
  10. Levi and I will see you out there 😊 anyone with extra energy is welcome to give a push 😜 VID-20250309-WA0100.mp4
  11. Ek hoort dit iewers op strava te hê sal gaan loer.
  12. First time in weeks on the bike, just what I needed 👌🏻

  14. Great day on the trails, missed Meurant leading us out and the trails chats.
  15. My first ever Pike, it's been some years since I have had a new fork. Luckily I had +-100km to get to grips with all the settings as my Fox sold much quicker than anticipated. The first half I was not impressed and missed my Fox 34. My hands hurt and I really regretted my decision. The second have after playing with the settings, the HSC and LSC being completely new to me. I'm still dumb with the settings but think by accident I got it perfect. It's smooth over bumps and feel planted and yet playful and poppy. Best part full fat Pike only 23g heavier than 34 SC, okay given the fox had a little mudguard on it's still much closer than I expected. O ja and a XX1 shifter to go with the derailleur 😜 (still need to fit)
  16. A jol of a weekend, thank goodness it's a short week 😜
  17. Lekker morning out on the bike, laughed so much my stomach hurts 😁
  18. First ride in a long time and the rain did not to miss the opportunity to speed up the ride. 😂
  19. Before Bikehubpay I would have never bought something unseen, but they eliminate all of the risk and I have never had an issue using them. In the past I would drive out to see parts now just use Bikehubpay and have it couriered. It's really so much more convenient and saves both the buyer and sellers time.
  20. Gravel tyres work on 29er wheels, otherwise Schwalbe Racing Ralph's or Continental Race King if you still want a bit more comfortable ride.
  21. If you are just riding gravel road a 38 could work. Just one question : currently on your most difficult climb are you still in the middle of the cassette or closer to the 50t? If you still have gears to spare on your climbs a bigger chainring will be good. Maybe like the others said a 36t unless you have 3 or 4 gears left on every climb I would not jump 4t on the front. If you ever think of riding trails unless your name is Nino a 38 is not going to be a fun day out.
  22. Like every winter we barely ride and then do a 100km ride in the wind 😂 lekker suffer fest 🍻😁
  23. Feels like forever since I've last been on the bike. I like the rain and know we need it but miss the trails. Yes you can still ride in the mud I know and replace everything on your bike at the end of winter... No thank you.
  24. 120mm anything more than that the bike will struggle to climb. The more travel you add the more you're moving your weight more over the back wheel causing the front to go light and lifting on steep climbs. I would look at a 120mm Pike or fox 34. You either have a Rockshox judy or recon a decent 120mm will make a world of difference.
  25. I ride, buy and sell used. Only money spent/lost is on wear and tear items and services. People buy/chase the new best shiny things or the lightest parts/bikes so there's almost never a shortage of suspension, groupsets, wheels, frames anything in basically new condition. One thing to remember is used has no warranty. Buying a 60k bike new and something goes wrong no problem take it in. Spend 60k on a used bike and something goes wrong and you have to swallow that bitter pill. This scares a lot of people who don't know much about what to look out for. That's why cheaper sub 25k sells much easier/quicker than 40k + unless it's a serious bargain. Upside to new = warranty, peace of mind Used = value
