Me rida my bicycle

Previously was custom built alu wheels and built my currently bike on Bontrager Line elite 30's and they are still like they left the shop only with different bearings. I've been through a couple unexpected rock gardens on low pressure and hit the rim hard expecting that unmistakable snake bike sound but nope nothing. In all honesty I am truly amazed that there are no chips on the bead.

On my Previous HT I replaced rear aluminium rim every 3 months give or take. I was seriously stressed about going carbon as it's way more expensive to replace a rim if broken. Cheap unbranded carbon rims was a no go for me at over 100kg I did not want something exploding underneath me. After nearly 2 years only work my wheels have seen are bearing replacement. That alone makes it worth it to me.

Lyne droppers even with loads of use and it gets a little bit of movement it's +-R300 for a service kit and a service takes a couple of minutes with minimal tools required. Back to new 👌🏼

I am truly amazed at how quickly he is improving. Probably a month ago got him a decent bike to start riding, two weeks ago I had to wait for him and last night I had to put in some effort to keep up. The great part of being young I guess 😁

Just in time when SRAM is going back to cable operated. Only joking the techy geeks will for years to come say "ag s#@t I forgot to charge the battery" 😂🤣

Lekker morning out, some trail side repairs and laughs, even the ripped tyre on the last smooth descend could not spoil the day. (mostly because I have been looking for a reason to remove this 💩)

Oak Valley 24 hour. Like usual we didn't listen (given this time you could not hear what they said) we did all our laps together so they count it as 1 lap for the team. I feel it's stupid but we never aimed to win just to have fun. We still had a jol and would do it together again. Hopefully next year they will have more than 4 💩 huisies and some showers would have been great.

Thank you, I am to inexperienced to know better and thought I rode Bloem wrong. Where Hoogies and Banhoek I do and feel much better on the jumps.

Same here that's why we keep losing the route when going there😁. There's also some great new (to us) trails 👌

A beautiful morning on Bottelary hills, not the first or last time we missed a turn or 2 and doing some extra climbing 😂 Pap tyres first needed to recharge with cold beer and pizza to make it home afterwards. 🍕🍻

Sorry only saw Chris reply didn't read the storie, was out on the trails. I know of a girl who is doing really good, podium most races. Started on a nice HT upgraded to a sweet dual xc race machine. She's back on the HT and doing better. Plus HT forces you to learn the correct techniques which will make him a better rider in future. Never mind the fortune you will save in keeping a dual going.

I will ad tyres on your HT makes a big difference. I have 3 sets 1 for everyday Gravel set (I still need to return to @ChrisF😁) I used for CTCT And my "fun" set for places like Jonkershoek.

Have a look at Hardtail Owners on Facebook, guys competing and doing great in even downhill. With my limited skills I have not encountered a trail I could not ride on my HT.

I'm running a xt cassette and chain with the last XX1 derailleur, works perfectly . Bigger question does your frame work with that derailleur? If you like fancy things I could see the point, I've just seen to many average Joe's just having issues with electronic shifting, I've even past Niño while he had issues with it 🤣 I like to go ride when the mood strikes not when the battery is charged 😁

On a longer ride let's take CTCT for example my average HR was +-150 but on a shorter harder ride like laps of Banhoek it's over 160. I've seen my max at close to 200. I'm 18 with little over 23 years of experience 😁

Die MTB Cape Argus, Stellenbosch mtb challenge en Buffet olives. These where lekker fun rides and where cheap to enter.

I know for a fact of a bike with damage being sold to dealer and they where informed about it. That bike was sold as is, damage hidden by lowering shock pressure, bike just covered in bike polish. It was not on Bikehub but that dealer is on here.

I love the comment of people over value their bikes. These would be the same people advertising it for more than the original advertised price. 🤔 Special service... 😂 Use Bikehub Pay it's a million times less expensive than the used bike businesses. If you don't know anything about bikes take it to a proper mechanic to check out.
