  1. I went through a anthem phase started with the blue anthem 1 and a buddy wanted a dual so that went to him upgraded to a anthem advanced but sold that soon after some time later I upgraded my buddy to a large advanced frame which was more comfortable for him and some time after that he wanted a 29er dual so the anthem came back to me. Anthem 650b is a fun bike especially with carbon wheels.
  2. had a recount little over 60 but about half of that was 26er with some 27.5 and the rest 29er with only about 10 hi end. I have a photo of each 1 for memories????
  3. This is like a AA meeting to me. Hi my name is Wikus and I am an bikeaholic. My addiction started around 5 years ago with an innocent little 26er. We started slowly but in no time things got out of hand and everything went down hill, I just couldn't get enough of a fix and after 50+ bikes I knew I had a problem and needed help. Good news I have been steady with a carbon 29er for the past 2 or 3 months and have not had any urges it's not been easy with loads of ups and downs but taking it 1 ride at a time.
  4. thanks will definitely see if I can skip out early on work 1 Thursday for that.
  5. Who knows the trails on table mountain? Have seen some awesome single track vids but can't seem to find any decent info. Anybody riding there regularly that won't mind 2 grap gatte joining sometime I would really appreciate it.
  6. people can say and think what they want that is a lot of bike for Under 5k.
  7. Had a treasure hunt at Pniel started the trail with a couple of other riders but halfway up they stopped to regroup so went on with a map I grabbed at the trail shop luckily because the trail sign right at the top fell off. But the rest of the trail was descently marked.
  8. in terms of upgrades I would definitely convert to Tubeless no worries about flats ever again.Kit would be helmet, gloves, shorts, shoes.
  9. The welds looks like art. And they are Cape Town based think I am going to go drool at his window????
  10. So good looking from every angle.
  11. I day when I am big I will have a custom Mercer frame like this.
  12. Something sexy not sure how strong it will be, but it does look niiiiicccce!
  13. yes it's definitely worth saving 1500 and going for the cannondale with that you could buy your kit or some upgrades for the cannondale like Tubeless.
  14. I would say around the end of the month the 7 was only supposed to come out the 29th and is already in some stores. They say the 4th October but I won't be surprised if they are a couple days early.
  15. I think hold on for the 5 to come out only 500 bucks more but considerably better spec.
  16. The one I saw had cable brakes and cheap as chips parts wheels looked not that bad so should be able to ride some trails but for my own safety I don't think I will trust cable brakes down hoogies.
  17. Saw the first ones at Makro Cape Gate today only 1 set up as "demo" the rest still in box should be very basic build.
  18. this was mine pink grips, pedals and cable housing. Great way to show your support to your wife ????????
  19. Even 1 for the girls... I would like to build up a frame like this that pink looks sweet.

  23. That's the best buy under 5k for sure if it's legit and if there's stock. I have seen a some of bike shops have great specials and you get there and it's only 1 XXL or no stock like 30 min after the sale starts....
  24. I get the appeal of an e mtb doing more trails than you could otherwise or e bike with kid seat to take junior on a ride but e road bike those been around for ages made by the likes of yamaha, Honda, Harley Davidson, Ducati, suzuki etc.
  25. Lekker training ride for K2C just to see if I will survive the distance and long hills.
