  1. Want ek wil een of ander tyd die naweek 'n burger bestel, en dit kan heel moontlik elektrisiteit benodig. En neem aan hulle sal 'n generator hĂȘ vir timing equipment.
  2. Liking that post just feels wrong, but thanks for the info! haha
  3. I doubt it will actually be that much elevation. Google maps tends to overestimate it a bit, and looking at my past ride data there I don't see how it can be that much. I am gonna guess around the 280m mark - but that is just a guess. Either way, it's lots of elevation. Thinking of fitting a smaller chainring for the weekend so I can just spin out the hills nicely. Don't think grinding up any hills is going to be a smart tactic.
  4. F1 cars use 1.6L engines
  5. https://www.webuycars.co.za/ They come to you, and pay you immediately. No use in taking any chances.
  6. Read the PB review this morning. Looks like a great bike, but it seems there is almost nothing that can touch that Norco Optic right now...
  7. Watched this first thing when I woke up, got such a big fright that I kicked my dog off the bed and woke up my pregnant wife - even though I was expecting it!
  8. Also getting lekker excited for this event now. Should be working, but instead I am putting together my camping list and thinking race (aka survival) strategy. The last time I did a 24 hour race it was on a very flat course in a team format, this will be the first solo one for me, so should be interesting. My favourite part of any 24 hour event is the riding when the sun goes down. It's the only time I'm not overheating worse than a Landy in the Karoo; and ven though the going is a bit slower, the feeling of just the bike and that little patch of light in front of you is just awesome. My only concern is the e-bike category, the route mixed with ebikes could potentially cause a bit of havoc.
  9. Yup, spot on. Same with most performance enhancers and roids. You spot the bloated and puffy boets at the Virgin Active that believed the myth that popping Dianabol will make you huge without work from a mile away. Not condoning the use of performance enhancers, but without actually putting in the extra work they aren't going to be of much help.
  10. I think The Hanger Bike Co sells if I am not mistaken. I know Andrew Neethling is not an ambassador for Kenda, so it would make sense.
  11. I have a Butcher on the back of my hardtail with a Eliminator on the front. Very nice combo. Butcher has lekker grip on steep climbs, and good braking traction. Just rolls slowly.
  12. Anything is better than 2 Crossmarks
  13. Quite Mardraker-ish in a very good way!
  14. Binging How I Met Yout Mother, again, for the umpteenth time. Probably my favourite comedy series of all time.
  15. Even easier, take a screenshot of the photo you just took (that is if it is on your phone of course). 3 or 4Mb down to a couple Kb instantly.
  16. Except for black mambas, they will follow you home, knock on your door, and then bite you.
  17. Entered, very keen for this. Always fun doing some night riding!
  18. Well then my question is completely null and void. I must've misread a sign somewhere. In that case I'll make the trip out soon.
  19. What is the point of members only features? Eg: Skills park at Hoogekraal? (I get the reasoning behind members only on corridors because it links places with different day passes). I'm from Somerset West, and make it to Durbanville side maybe 5 times a year - the EWC races at Hoogekraal and Contermans, and then a weekend or two before each race. I would go to Hoogekraal more if I could ride the skills park, but it will always be a day permit because it's far for me and I'm never going to go enough to justify a year pass. Anyway - seems like a good value add to gwt more people out there, yet they close it to day permit holders thereby losing sales of day permits?
  20. How many kms? Seems like you're doing something wrong unless you are riding big distance... The only place I splash out a bit is on an XX1 chain, they are worth the extra $$ - takes alot of km before they stretch.
  21. Got GX Eagle on the one bike, XO1 11spd on the other. The GX Eagle performs just as well as XO1 11spd, if not a bit better. Can't comment on NX, but GX Eagle is pretty dam good in my opinion - 4000km and no issues so far.
  22. Don't have much to say about NX, but 2500km for a chain is pretty good.
  23. But when the baddies hear how much ebikes cost they will be chasing the security officers to steal the bikes.
