  1. Did they put it on a vegan diet?
  2. I am assuming they want to go ahead with the event in May 2021 as planned. Waiting for 2021 to do 2020's event means you are essentially cancelling it.This is about as good as it gets IMO, the event goes ahead, no one loses their entry fee. Maybe a couple of changed flight fees, and a few that won't have the dates open in their calendars - but overall a pretty good outcome.
  3. I think most guys' personal insurance should cover this. I am with Cyclesure and they have a race cover product that I get with my bicycle insurance which should cover this - that is unless they have an Act of God or Pandemic clause such as the airlines do...
  4. It is the right call, but I feel for the guys that put in all those hours and cash into preparing for Epic. It's a massive commitment, and regardless of why it was cacelled, I can imagine it must really suck...
  5. Judging from your current tyre size, you should be able to fit a 700c wheel with 40-45c tyres. I would definitely borrow a set from someone to check first though...
  6. Fair enough, that's quite a distance...
  7. There are some options out there, and I am not anti e-bike at all - but do you really think a battery and motor will be at home on a gravel bike? In my mind a gravel bike is typically something people do looong distances on, and it feels to me like a battery will limit that. The range on e-bikes don't really exceed 100kms, and from what I have seen most of the nutters that ride gravel bikes do 100km as a warm-up....
  8. Golden hour on Helderberg. The days are getting shorter...
  9. Haha as much as I dislike the brand, they do the best saddles and shoes, and lately doing some very nice things with mtb tyres... so I'll make an exception here.
  10. I think he is broken....
  11. I am going to be replacing my Farr Dots with the Spaz Pathfinders when the time comes. The Spaz tyres are much lighter and have slightly more reliable casings, also have more grip in the dirt with the same slick centre - win win and win.
  12. Haha mine won't notice the new machine, but she will notice the +/-15k hole in my wallet.
  13. That double boiler Silvia looks awesome! Might just be the perfect upgrade for my current Silvia.
  14. The only 2 machines on that list I would rate highly is the Gaggia and Rancilio - and that is as a "starter" machine.
  15. Yup - it is ridiculous - someone here on the hub made the same comment about the S-Works Epic the other day. And that was with a better build kit than what comes standard on the bike. Let's see if Spaz fixes this "oversight" by increasing the price of the frameset by 20k.
  16. The thing is... Some people just deserve a public bashing for the stupidity they put out into the world via the classifieds platform.
  17. What the hell is a standard 29" tyre? https://bikehub.co.za/classifieds/item/mountain-bike-tyres/397427/standard-29inch-tyre #bringbackthecomments
  18. I buy all my Fox clothes from OneDayOnly, so I'm not complaining... but the deals repeat so often they really should change their name to EveryCoupleOfWeeks
  19. I think doggos get so comfortable with their humans that all their instincts fly out the window. I don't think any animal will sleep like this in the wild... Mine sleep like this when it gets hot. They will often find a cool spot on the tiles, next to a wall, and pass out like this. Reminds me of a dead cockroach.
  20. Cute man! This is our Labby, Mila, the day she came home with us. I had to bolt a sink to the wall because the boxer kept oveturning his drinking bowl and would be left waterless the whole day. Mila saw this as the perfect little splash pool. Funny enough she is not the avid swimmer of the two...
  21. Please can you post this on the relevant thread? @Admin
  22. It's a gravel bike... you can get away with much bigger gearing. I ride 30t chainring with a 42t cassette on my mtb, and 38t chainring with 42t on the gravel bike and I get away with mostly the same sort of climbs on the two - obviously not very techy climbs on gravel bike though.
  23. Very nice! I like what Titan have been doing lately.
  24. Haha the collar of shame took me about 20mins and some serious wrestling to get on my boxer as tight as it could go) when he was fixed. Took him less than 30 seconds to get out of it. Luckily he didn't lick the wound.
  25. The only dibs I accept is a cash deposit, or if someone if I have dealt with before or know well asks me to keep the item aside for them. Cash is king, if you want something pay for it, and if you cannot pay for it immediately at least have the decency to call and make arrangements with me.
