  2. theHUB ...
  3. well said Fand!!!
  4. Easy ... the organisers of the Giro del Capo needs to make a concession for Lance ... his entry fee for the event = double his appearance fee ... this way SA scores at least US$90000 ...
  5. Yip ... he rides for Milram ... the 25th rider and lives in Carltonville ...
  6. @ his house ....
  7. That is strange that OB was DQ ... I saw him leaving with the VA bunch ... In the VD bunch where had a $ starter as he said he is not fit enough to be with the elites ...
  8. True .. but not a WHITE SUPER SIX???KlapperKnop2009-01-26 03:42:17
  9. I also saw a dude with a white Super Six and the latest 11 speed Record Gruppo .....
  10. slowpoke the route and speed of this event requires full road closure ... down step at 50/60 km/h .. there is just now way the bunch will not take up both lanes ... and then offcourse the "break-away" of each bunch will try up kareekloof hence why they gutter to the right ....
  11. found the same with the people serving the cyclists ... also it takes quite some time to get to Cyclelab ...
  12. Then the best would be for Admin/MODS to keep this topic closed ....
  13. Phen which group r u riding? I am VD and we start 6h15 ... surely the U23 or Elites group must be ahead of everyone else otherwise there is going to be a stuff up somewhere on the route!KlapperKnop2009-01-20 02:33:27
  14. Big H ... should you rather not get a more durable ("tandem approved") set of wheels (QR, hubs etc.). I have seen people with Raleigh Tandem (the older version) and it appears that most of the parts are upgraded to "stronger" parts.
  15. Willehond ... speaking to Dave Wiseman, a veteran in cycling, told me once that doing anything > 90rpm on a flat road is high cadence, on a hill/climb of steep gradient anything > 70rpm is high cadence ... I find it is very hard to maintain a cadence above 90rpm on a steep gradient ...
  16. EPOH I do not think it is fair to make a comment that Babbelkous did not leave on a good note based on her comments; I can not recall for once in this particular thread that she is slandering or making out that TCS is a "bad" club/group of people. She has only come forward as to what happened at Bakwena; based on her posting it appears that she was quiet upset with Eben and way he went about going for the dope test. I got the same impression when Amoryn also left TCS; it always appeared that she was a "suurtiet" The irony is that Crux had to know about the test after the Bakwena race about Eben; surely, I would have thought, the best way was to make a statement immediately after that; not wait till the sentence/announcement is made from CSA. Either way it does not bother me; the incident does leave a bad taste about TCS; however each individual within TCS will ride on its own credibilty in the cycling fraternity; I do not see why each TCS member has to justify their position.
  17. Ag, dit blyk my daar is GROOT probleme in die tCS kamp? Soos jy se ... TYD SAL SE!
