I think Gerald is good, he certainly is informed and passionate about cycling, an avid mtb'er, and a consummate sports broadcasting professional, one needs an lead / anchor like that. Rob on the other hand ... think I will tune into the German channel this year.

It must be tricky to cover Enduro live, given all the different stages all over the place. Personally I've tried to follow / get into it from a fan perspective, but found it hard to follow and feel.

That's how Rob got the RBTV gig, he was doing downhill on Freecaster then somehow he blaged his way in the XCO commentary box when they took over.

Its not only cutting the spokes but doing the threads as well, for that you need a decent tool. The threads are rolled in, not cut with a die, Something to do with strength, Johan (who used to be active here years ago before he emigrated) had a very nice Japaneses unit in his workshop, he used to make up spokes for me on spec, Much cheaper / easier than trying to order/buy them. So yeah, def, a market for small shops and DIY'ers needing spokes, who need occasionally

There is a also a bit of difference between North American and Euro CX circuits, the former tends to be in parks, drier, faster with long sweeping sections.

Yes he hasn't done much CX this season, its a side show to his road career now with a focus on the classics. His CX target was Worlds and well that worked out well init. He got beat at the muddy Namur but that was a good race. When he was at Trinity they did a vlog after each race, that was fun and a good insight.

Tom has won lots of CX races in the mud

There always is a variety of tracks in cyclocross, this one is fast because it was dry, some big climbs, technical bits, qute a bit of stopping and starting, and those steps really test the running legs. Led to good racing in my opinion. Others will do better in wetter and muddier tracks (ie Clara), but Brand and Vos do well no matter what you throw at them. At the World Cup here last year it was wet and and a mud fest, Ms Vos lost it (and a podium spot) down of those sweeping descents, but she was certainly the best yesterday, certainly in the game towards the end. Although I was rooting for Lucinda, she had been winning all season, Vos dips in an out of cross, but that's the way it goes. No doubts VOS is the GOAT

Yeah its a long walk back if you have a flat and left your spare and tools behind. If you are riding by yourself, just don't take risks on those downhills.
