I knew coffee machines and grinders were expensive, I had no idea it was so expensive. For the time being, I am going to continue to buy beans and have it ground by the coffee shop. In the meantime, I am going to save up for a decent second-hand grinder.

I want to buy an inexpensive grinder to use with my espresso machine. I used to grind the beans at the shops where I bought the beans, sometimes it would be too coarse and other times too fine so I would want to grind it myself. I saw the grinder below and was wondering if this would do the job or would I be wasting my money?

Saw one this afternoon, looked painful as hell and dust everwhere!! Kudos to the riders on Saturday for navigating down safely.

I didn't know that, I never see them around and just sort of assumed that they aren't available here.

I noticed on Saturday quite a few DT Swiss forks being used and even some high-end Suntour forks, why aren't these available in South Africa? Surely these forks would be good for getting more competitive prices on forks.

I want to venture a bit into some macro photography, what would be the most inexpensive method to do this? how good is macro filters? Is it at all possible to get some used manual focus macro lenses? Certainly this would cost less than a macro lens. I have a canon crop sensor dslr (700d)
