  1. Why though, is there really a benefit to do this as opposed to riding just 29" or 27.5"?
  2. New thread idea: Post your lame singletrack GoPro videos.
  3. Keep a small container with some solvent to clean any bolts that you remove, remember to grease/locktite before installing again.
  4. More of a tip than a workshop mistake, only tighten your brakes levers and shifters tight enough to prevent them from rotating whilst using it. If (when) you crash chances are much smaller of damaging something.
  5. Talking about action cam stabilization, go check out the dji action cam better than a gopro in my opinion. That being said I don't own one for the same reasons already given above.
  6. Rotary engine see through.
  7. If you buy say a Bosch set that comes with two batteries you can buy the other tools you need without the batteries and chargers, the same brand tools all fit the same battery.
  8. Does anyone have two 27.5" plus-size tyres, 2.8-3" wide? My sidewalls are leaking like crazy and I'm planning on buying a 29" wheelset later on so I don't want to spend on a set of tyres.
  9. One of my favourite songs, here is an Avenged Sevenfold one I like:
  10. Eden Paradyskloof First time back on the bike in a while, felt great to be out riding again.
  11. At least they've got something to show for their tax money, unlike here where more and more taxes are added, but everything gets worse.
  12. Post pictures when you start and as you progress!!
  13. So I ended up buying a scroll saw I got on a very good deal from someone who unfortuneately cannot do woodwork anymore, I also picked up a mini belt and disk benchtop sander from him. For now, I think the scroll saw would fit my needs better for cutting smaller, thinner stock. It also allows me to do inside cuts. A band saw remains on my wishlist for now.
  14. Unfortunately, they do not have any decor stuff, so I will spend some time making what can be made.
  15. It feels like cutting it myself will work out cheaper than laser cutting, we will get the finer more detailed stuff laser cut. I wouldn't buy the saw just for the wedding so it would be a longer-term investment of sorts.
  16. Thanks for the input, I will see if I can find a band saw, also leaning that way. It just feels that a scroll saw is much cheaper than a band saw and if it can cut up to say 1" softwood and MDF it should be fine.
  17. So I am considering getting a scroll saw instead of a band saw, is it worth it to get a scroll saw? I am getting married next year and I'm thinking that a scroll saw will enable me to make most of the stuff we want to get such as table numbers names etc. Do they have a purpose other than small crafts or should I just save up and buy a band saw?

CZ2075 Rami is your answer to that. As far as I know they are quite scarce.

If you want sub-compact that is not a Glock, the S&W M&P Shield gets my vote as well. I'm considering the compact version.

Totally agree with everything you said.

Although it says no license required you would need a license to be able to buy the ammo as gun powder and primers are listed in the firearms control act as something you require a license for. I am not entirely sure, but it might be something to consider. Another thing you might want to consider is what would happen if your attackers wielding an actual firearm or knife realise that you have what can essentially be described as a toy? I don't want to deter you from trying to protect yourself whilst out riding, I want you to think about what could happen. If you are willing to carry while riding why not apply for a firearm license? a Glock 43 would be a good carry weapon for self-defence. Just be aware that if you decide to carry that you are committed to actually use it should the need arise.
  22. LOL, I see the guy who posted the Garmin and Silverback got some good constructive criticism on his ad's.
  23. To me, mint condition usually means to ignore the ad and look what else is on sale, especially if I cannot go and view myself. Everyone's definition of mint will vary and you will most probably be disappointed if you buy something that is in 'mint' condition.
  24. I think I saw you near the engineering faculty today at around 17H20, I was passing in the opposite direction coming from the faculty.
  25. Had some time to go for a ride, decided to make it a nice night ride. Not seeing a single other light makes it feel eerie knowing that you are alone there.
