  1. Still the bloody licenses. Can anybody suggest whom I can contact to find out the status of my license?? Application submitted, and paid 2 Dec 2008. Confirmation received from CSA mid - January. Just got of the phone with CGC and no license, no name on the list. Myrace website has no contact details (good thing maybe), and CSA? Well after my previous poisonous mail I think they might not appreciate another e-mail from me, oh, Maybe they cut up my license. Any suggestions?? I will admit that I have the most basic club membership, simply to comply with CSA's licensing requirements, which seems to apply only in spurts, only at certain races!!!
  2. Did go back to registration at Emperors again on Saturday, after the MTB ride, covered in muck, and..... No license, despite payment going through in December and an e-mail from CGC received in January stating that my license had been processed. I rest my case,
  3. Thanx, mon-goose
  4. My facts were correct, she was not there yesterday, at CL that is, at 9:30am. Will try after the ride 2morrow
  5. No, I'm not pointing fingers, but at least in 2007 and 2008 I got the card at home, thereby avoiding this falling around to get hold of the bloody license card. I did not register because I have an overriding desire to be licensed, or to start earlier etc, no, I registered because "its the right thing to do", apologies to the SABC. And here I am....
  6. Its an absolute farce. Collected my number for Emperors this am. Firstly, nobody nowhere interested in your license, fine. Supposedly I can pick my license up here, paid for in DECEMBER 2008, not a single CSA rep in sight??? Its a bloody rip-off, plain and simple. GET YOUR BLOODY ACT TOGETHER!!!!!!!!!!!!
  7. I got a notification a few minutes ago from Myrace (CSA), stating that my application has been processed and that licenses will be couriered to Clubs shortly for collection by members. See text: As of the 15th January some 4500 online license applications have been received and the process of approving and distributing cards is well under way. All confirmed applications will be notified by e-mail or SMS, so please wait to receive this confirmation before "nagging" your club secretary for your card. Until your card arrives, you can take comfort in the fact that the 2009 national cycling database will be available to provincial offices and race administrators as a final form of verification of your licence (This obviously excludes all personal contact details, as we take your privacy very seriously). In addition to this, 2008 licences are valid until the end of January and, if that is still not enough, this letter will serve as proof of your online application through to the end of February 2009. Please note that for 2009, licence cards will no longer be sent to you via post. All cards will be sent via courier to your club/provincial office. You will be notified when it is ready for collection.
  8. Just smile and show your b**bs
  9. Pathetic, sorry, no goody bag, "tannies" actuallly ooms, fairly helpful. Last time for the fast one, makes me wonder why I bother.
  10. VC again, got it in Ama and 94.7, lost the group in about two minutes in each case. Maybe I will fall back this time, but then again its downhill, not like the other two starting with hills? What to do
  11. Only think I had to deal with this am, was a bit of a stronger than normal headwind, no doors flying around at four am.
  12. Bly julle is OK, lyk my ons gaan almal agter julle moet ry volgende Sondag want julle gaan afvlieg Vanderbijl toe. Stuur groete vir EM.....
  13. Have had two confirmations from CSA. So all appears in order in terms of payment receipt.
  14. The website is slightly better than last time I tried. It allows you to pck your details, upload phote etc. It does incorrectly assign the cyclosport licence twice, but that can be ignored. Then comes payment time. I foolishly pick EFT. The system generates a reference number, which you ref payment with and then asks you to submit proof of payment. HA, NO EMAIL ADDRESS PROVIDED, NO CONTACT US ON THE WEBSITE!!!!
  15. Slightly better than last time I tried. Allows you to register, and upload an image. Does tell me to pay for my cyclosport twice, but that you can ignore, then the crunch, you pay, foolishly choosing to pay by EFT. The system generates a reference number, you pay and then please forward us the details of payment ....... NO ADDRESS, NO CONTACT US ON THE WEBSITE..... OK now I feel better
  16. VC, don't ask me why, I will be the last over Fox Hill. Ladies do start at 5:55 WW
  17. carinus My apologies. I am sure there will have to be lots of legwork behind the M&B website to get the relevant details checked and verified, but at least it takes it out of my hands. I have a cyclosport, so the photo is no issue, it was just the need for a club affiliation that caused the problem, sorted with a glass of water. On Myrace I had endless hassles with a number of things, I realise its being tested, but the photo didn't want to be accepted, the street address kept on failing, finally faked an address, and then the CC payment kicked out several card options, based on date. It also never asked for an existing License number. Lets see how long I wait for my card vie M&B. Cheers Theo
  18. OK After days of scheming and wondering the solution came today. Used the M&B Glas of water option, online nogal through supercycling, and became a club member, applied for cyclosport and csa affiliation. Couldn't have been easier. Leaves Myrace standing.
  19. Hi My apologies, I am always on about licensing, but can anyone help.... 2007: Used a Tour de Frans option which registered me for a cyclosport (Card an all), but with what appears to be pseudo club membership?? 2008: It looks like you have to have a club membership for a cyclosport? Where can I join a club without the "k@K'of being a club member. I'm not interested in group rides, or club gear, or any other nonsense. Cycling is expensive enough (time and money). Is it possible to affiliate with CSA directly? Or with Central Gauteng? Any help will be appreciated....
  20. Wanneer kom julle brekvis by ons eet, oom <<<koek....
  21. The direct affiliation is through Central Gauteng Cycling, Gail Heuvel, they are in the Cycle Lab area. R150, plus R75, when last I spoke to her. I am in the process of an alternate arrangement, will know in a month if it works, costing R150 and basically boils down to a cyclosport license, I assume
  22. RodTi Being from Mars and all, let me answer as follows. At least this is how I understand. You need a license. If you get a temp license you can ride, but from the back, with all the other unseeded masses. If you get a proper license, somewhere between Elite and temp, you might be able to ride, you might be seeded, you might have to join a club, etc, but nobody really knows, CSA decided its right, and the provinces will apply the ruling as they see fit Makes me a bit "naar" I have no problem with paying a license (well actually I do), but this utter "deurmekaarspul"is what gets to me. At this point it looks like I will be starting the Ama from right at the back because I won't join a club, and I have no license, YET...
  23. Backlash, do you have to work for Telkom to become a member?
  24. R75 membership and R150 for direct affiliation
