  1. I've been swopping wheels over between my Singlespeed and XC bike and eventually decided to pull the plug and build a new wheelset. I have always liked the Surly Rabbit Hole rims which Surly brought out when they built the Krampus and instead of a normal rim, I decided to rather go for the Rabbit Holes. So these will go onto my Karate Monkey and my existing wheelset will go onto the On-One. They'll be laced to Superstar Hubs that i recently bought. Front wheel will have a Surly Knard 29 x 3" tyre whilst the rear will run a normal Conti 2.4"
  2. So what you are saying is that the lumen output of the lights advertised on your site are all 100% accurate?
  3. And where are the pics of H?
  4. Surly Rabbit Hole rims and a Surly Knard 29x3" tyre. Pics to follow once collected.
  5. You're lucky your name doesn't start with an "N" otherwise you could have said "PnP will be checking it out today"
  6. If you enter a race under the auspices of the UCI whether you are a Pro or a "Fun Rider" does that not make you legally bound to accept their rules and regulations?
  7. Very nice Jeremy!
  8. Tumbles, given your frequent hospital visits when dismounting either voluntary or involuntary from a MTB/Fixie/take your pick, I would strongly suggest that you save yourself the pain and suffering of visiting multiple branches of your local (Glenwood), transfer the entry into my name and visit the sleepy hollow of PMB.
  9. It's actually R25 000 ! I wonder though if the Reserve Bank will give clearance to pay a fine in a foreign currency?
  10. I would imagine that because the Epic is a UCI listed race, their rules surmount CSA's which in this case (and I imagine in every other) has a schedule that stipulates the relevant fines. What is the CSA fine (if any) for an admission of guilt in an adverse analytical finding? Can't imagine it is anywhere near R25k.
  11. Watched the full film last night. Some really sick skills on display.
  12. So I guess Needles will have to find a new downhill bike.
  13. Yes, you can. I had mine on an On-One. You'll have to get a special steerer such as the one Project321 make. http://www.project321.com/products_bike-lefty-adapter-main.php
  14. Yes, the 28 will be too small but you can get 32 tooth that will fit.
  15. Congratulations and all the very best. May you have many happy years cruising singletrack together.
  16. Absalon finished in 7th or 8th and Kulharvy was way down the field.
  17. Hard luck to Cink. He virtually led the entire race up until that final couple of km's when Nino overtook him and won by 6 seconds.
  18. Why not use a normal SLX/XT double chainring crank and remove the outer chainring?
  19. I watched Greg's run last night. My head is still shaking from side to side.
  20. I had a lefty on a 29er. An awesome fork and far better than the equivalent standard 32mm stanchioned fox/rockshox. From my experience, the lefty tracked far better in corners and the lockout was a proper lockout.
  21. Probably have to be a member for 5 years and have over 6 351 posts.
  22. I've had a 9 speed XTR rear derailleur on various bikes for over 6 years and have just replaced the pulleys a couple of times. Still going strong!
  23. There are some awesome looking bikes coming out..
  24. The new Intense Carbine 29er 160mm upfront...
  25. Why don't all you pedantic moaning minnies just give Richard a break. It's not like there actually is an Enduro scene in SA! (one or two races does not constitute a scene) and the current Enduro series being run in Europe only commenced this year. And in the words of Mr Min, all Enduro really is, is Gnarly XC.
