  1. Andy, you have a fair bit of knowledge about Yamaha's. Would a 350LC / R3 swop be possible or even feasible? Not that I will be able to do it / afford it, but I quite like the idea of a "modern" stroker.
  2. Still is / was a special piece of kit.
  3. Yeah, like this: http://i818.photobucket.com/albums/zz104/carbonar1/Bike%20Porn/Right-Angle-View.jpg
  4. I still would love to squeeze a fully worked 350LC motor into a new R3 chassis / body, with the Nitro Nori paint scheme. YUMMY YAMMY......
  5. 'Cause the Eleven Specials was mostly a single colour with pin striping. BORING!!!!
  6. Amazing bike / build. Love those "retro 350" coloured bikes also.

Man, do I feel old now. Used to watch these guys race, rain or shine.
  8. Great minds think alike!! Had that on my bike since about March this year. Just dropped the rail a bit lower in the meantime, it now sits nicely in the triangle.
  9. I found this a neat solution to the "saddle bag haters".
  10. I told my wife on Saturday, that here's a man I admire. He's not even South African born, but he wore that Green and Gold with so much pride. He played his heart out, game after game. A lot of Saffers should hang their heads in shame when they look at him. A true ambassador for our country and the Game.

He actually said that in his post race interview.
  12. Again, I do not agree with you. But let's leave it at that.
  13. Mamil, I do not quite agree with you. I do not go around attacking and robbing people in a violent manner willy nilly. You attack me, and I have it in me to ward of your attack, be assured you are going to regret your actions, period. You violate my rights, you betcha I'm gonna violate yours. And this is not just keyboard warrior talk, trust me when I say this.
  14. My feeling is that when you remove a skollie from the equation, he will not be able to hurt the next person. Why should I / we treat him with kid gloves and have respect for his human rights, when he does not have respect for mine?
  15. R.I.P Bella. Strongs Surfer and family.
  16. Nah, not my cup of tea at all.
  17. Riddle me this: Why would the jumbled results of 105 riders impact on the seeding for the 94.7? It's not as if the majority of 94.7 riders is from the WC and that their latest results (or lack thereof) will impact the 94.7 seeding. Or is there something glaringly obvious that I'm missing here?
  18. Read that any which way, and it does not make sense to me at all.
  19. Got them fitted and first ride done. To say I'm happy is an understatement.
  20. Great news, now I'll enter it again.
  21. If I had the new tires and tubes on hand, it would have been fitted last night, trust me. Will make a turn at the LBS on my way home, and it will then be a done deal tonite. I will enjoy them, thanks. Been pondering this purchase a while already.
  22. Received this last night. Did not have time to fit it to the bike, that will happen tonite.
  23. I was in that second group, up until 71km, when a touch of wheels brought the guys right in front of me to the ground. Emergency braking prevented me from plowing into them, but some contact was still made, and I did quite an impressive display of an 54yr old doing an involuntary split. After untangling the bikes from each other, I was left behind, trying to straighten my bars/wheel, with the group disappearing up the road. I set off after them, but could not really get going. In the ride I noticed my brakes rubbing, and not even opening the brakes all the way stopped the rubbing. At the left turn at the fruitseller 4 way stop, I gave up on my chase, and just continued on at my own pace, smack bang in no mans land, no group behind me, and "my" group getting smaller up the road. Two young guns from L-O caught me and offered to "tow me back to the group", but they were to strong for me, and after a few kilometers I told them to carry on with their own race. I struggled on my own, with cramps starting to set in. Right on top the last climb at Windmeul the rest of L-O came flying past, but I had nothing left to get in their bus. I finished about 15min after the group I was in at the time of my fall, slightly bummed at "what could have been" When putting my bike in my car, I noticed the one brake pad was forced sideways in the crash, and was rubbing against the tire. This must have contributed in me not getting going properly again. 2nd fall/crash I was involved in, in three races.
