  1. I've got the Citiz with seperate milk frother and just love it. Contrary to Wayne and Grumpy, I wouldn't go for an integrated unit, as I quite like the frothing part of the equation. But that's just based on my perception and not my experience - and I have to justify my own purchase. Either way, you'll never look back.
  2. I brought a similar question to the Hub about a year ago. I took both vehicle registration docs to a shop that prints perspex plates and drilled holes in the two top corners which I then secure with cable ties to the bike rack depending on which vehicle I'm using. Been through several road blocks since and never had any problems.
  3. Whilst Wayne and Fire are undoubtedly the heroes of this thread, let's not forget the person who took the initiative to bring it to the Hub. Good on you Wannebe. A small but vital ingredient in this good-news story. And then again Mr Potgieter ...
  4. Thanks to Wayne, you can sleep well and train even harder now. We're behind you all the way, and will be following your races with keen interest. Hope this opportunity propels your career to the next level. Sterkte!!!
  5. @tubed - fantastic coverage and writing!! Much appreciated.
  6. 15 Willie le Roux 5/10 14 Bryan Habana 6/10 13 JJ Engelbrecht 6/10 12 Jean de Villiers 4/10 11 Bjorn Basson 5/10 10 Morne Steyn 5/10 (he can only play well if the pack dominates and he gets good service from 9. Neither happened) 9 Ruan Pienaar 3/10 (he was just too slow to clear the base of the scrum, which put pressure on the whole attack line) 8 Pierre Spies 3/10 (doesn't derserve a place in the team on current form - only there for experience) 7 Arno Botha (unfortunate injury. Kolisi can start next week with Labuschangne on the bench) 6 Marcell Coetzee 4/10 ( a brilliant provincial player but not in the league of Francois Louw or Brussow) 5 Juandre Kruger 3/10 (poor game by his standards. Vd Merwe made an impact when he came on) 4 Eben Etzebeth 7/10 3 Jannie du Plessis 3/10 (same as Spies and looks tired. Give Lourens Adriaanse a start) 2 Adriaan Strauss 6/10 (but looked flustered at times - unlike him) 1 Tendai Mtawarira 4/10 (hasn't regained his form - start Oosthuizen at 1) Bismarck du Plessis 6/10 Trevor Nyakane 6/10 Coenie Oosthuizen 7/10 Flip van der Merwe 6/10 Siya Kolisi 8/10 (slow start but man did he step up to plate) Piet van Zyl 4/10 (unfortunate introduction to Test rugby. Some poor passes - hopefully he gets another chance) Pat Lambie 6/10 Jan Serfontein 7/10 (this guy is pure class and should start next to JJ)
  7. That was very funny. Love the Scottish accent.
  8. How's that side step of his last night on the right wing - about 60 minutes into the game? And then a great try at the end. Will be watching him closely.
  9. 1 X 29 DS MTB 1 X 26 DS MTB 1 X road
  10. One golf body, one soccer body, one rugby body, one swimming body, one tennis body ..... admittedly all or mostly in a state of shambles. So one cycling body it ought to be to nurture the interests of the sport, whether that be professional, amateur, development, administration, etc. Whether that is then CSA or PPA, is an entirely different argument. And probably the crux of the pending court case.
  11. My favourites are Arpeggio and Indriya. Just got back from the Waterfront store .... ouch!!
  12. Don't forget the cream. Yo yo yo.
  13. Well, if you think business class travel is expensive, wait til you see the cost of this High Court action. There goes all our CSA and PPA membership fees ...
  14. I think he was annoyed with the press who kept misquoting him (according to Brendan) and they had just lost an important game to Racing Metro ... so he wasn't going to give them anything. If I remember correctly, he received some sort of fine or ban for misconduct after the interview. I'm sure it was water off a duck's back for him. Great guy IMO.
  15. Brendan doesn't go without controversy, and certainly didn't warm himself to the UK media ...
  16. I reckon Brendan could take any 15 Hubbers and turn them into a useful rugby team. He surrounds himself with experts and not just "yes-men". Just like Jake White. Can't say the same for HM ...
  17. I thought it was a feather in his cap.
  18. And London Irish. And currently with the Bokkies. Just wonder if he'll relocate to Durban? Probably have to. I know his family are quite well settled in Somerset West.
  19. Brendan is a real scholar of the game and a rugby genius in my opinion.
  20. That's fair enough. I thought perhaps you were referring to the quality or taste of the braai food. Admittedly the latter is different but certainly not gas-infused. Flavours are more from the juices and fat dripping onto the flavour bars, which is much like a restaurant flavour. I do enjoy the convenience of a gas braai for a quick midweek braai if it's raining or the wind is howling (which often happens here in Cape Town). But I have to agree that a proper fire creates the braai atmosphere. When I entertain, I only over braai using a fire.
  21. I get a lot of pleasure out of mine. Bugger on maintenance though (cleaning). Trick is to clean it regularly. Out of interest, why don't you like a gas braai?
  22. indeed. Each unto their own. Speaking of boerie rolls, the worst has got to be that yellow sauce they call mustard at the boerie roll stands. Should be banned.
  23. Belgian. Washed down with Belgian beer. Very lekker.
  24. And I'm not a big chutney fan either. i find it too sweet and the sweetness dominates - even in curries.
