  1. I'm not saying we can't present a sixth franchise. It's the guys down under who don't want it because of travel, time of view for SA games, and the fact that not every team gets to play each other. The competition structure is already crowded. I think you made similar comments in an earlier post?
  2. I like lots!! So, Wyatt, with a bit of venture capital, whereto from here ...
  3. I doubt the car looking at those profiles ...
  4. I thought tappit referred to Francois Hougaard. Must have been the mullet.
  5. Compact. As 'Dale says - I'm scared of climbing.
  6. A real beaut!! Congrats guys. Will that frame cope with my 100 kg odd frame after the bodywork?
  7. Don't like the turquoise - but the rest I like!!
  8. @Newbie76 - a whole crowd of us are going through to Bonnievale on Thursday for the Robertson Slow weekend. So come Saturday, there will be a few tired bodies before we even start the event. Note - event. Not race. We'll all be doing the 30, although we should be doing the 70. See you on the trail.
  9. Why do I get a feeling of deja vu, what with mountain biking being the new golf and all?
  10. Woolies 40gram Snack Mix Packs. Proper food containing carbs, protein and fat. My favourite is the Pecan, Raisin & Apple Mix. Or biltong mixed with dried cranberries.
  11. SA must be very careful at the 2016 SANZAR S15 negotiations. Our development problem (i.e. Eastern Cape rugby) is not the Kiwi's and Ozzie's advertising problem (i.e. selling television advertising space at 03h00 in the morning down under for SA games). SA is financially more realistically aligned with the Northern Hemisphere. Similar time zones and shorter travel. But no competition we can partake in up North. mmmmm ...........
  12. The cupboard is looking a bit bare at tighthead. Why bring back yet another loosehead??
  13. I thought that was the message from LA himself during the Oprah interview. Or is the point now that somebody else from within the ranks is saying the same thing?
  14. Wow! Thanks Cassie. Don't you want to check with your better half first?
  15. That was my exact thinking when I posted. Was the book Freakonomics perhaps? Still begs the question - who are the buyers??????
  16. Dear Eldron I would love to attend but unfortunately your one and only rule means I won't be able to make it. Yours sincerely Richard
  17. You bet. Just don't forget that the use of the green interconnecting corridors (linking the different trails) is now for the exclusive use of Tygerberg members if you aren't a member already.
  18. At least you're not corked.
  19. Have to confess that I don't know if Hoogekraal was part of the 99er route. The single track in the pictures was part of the Epic Prologue. I think the 99er only gets as far as Meerendal.
  20. Hoogekraal MTB Night Ride. We did a lap before sunset and the start of the night ride.
  21. Confirmation that bicycles are more valuable to thieves than jewelry or cars. And that there's a very ready and willing buyers' market. Hope your mate gets his bike back.
  22. Hubbers. It's early morning and I'm speed-reading through this, so what I'm about to say might be absolute bollocks or has been said already. Surely the level of fine assumes a professional athlete has been found guilty of taking a performance-enhancing substance, and that by enhancing performance has been able to secure/earn more income based on winnings and/or improved exposure. The fine is therefore merely a clawback of illegitimate income and a financial disincentive to take a banned substance. Of course this has no applicability in the case of an amateur athlete, and then the arguments of cost recovery related to the actual tests do come into play.
  23. Probably correct, but taking Potgieter off was a serious tactical blunder by the coach. He was literally making an impact.
