  1. Depends on your Vitality status!
  2. Probably not. That amount of money could be better spent on new components or Fire's cause. But I might just enter for the lucky draw though.
  3. I would certainly attend if I lived in Joburg. Might even try arrange a business meeting or two. A ride with Tyler Hamilton would be most interesting if you ask me.
  4. I think we can count our lucky stars that they didn't appoint Jake White.
  5. What's the meaning of life?
  6. Four week ban for Butch James. Rightfully so. http://www.sport24.co.za/Rugby/Super15/Butch-gets-four-week-ban-20130707
  7. Well done Cheetahs!! And Bulls. But really poor quality refing and teleref decisions - for and against both the Sharks and the Bulls. So now on to next week and the last round to decide positions 3 - 6. If Reds lose to Waratahs (unlikely) then Cheetahs and Reds both have 54. Not sure how they'll decide 5 and 6 then. Ideally I'd like Cheetahs to finish 6 and play Brumbies or Reds. Crusaders are just too hot at the moment. My prediction for the coming weekend: Bulls over Stormers without bonus +4 = 67 Chiefs over Blues with bonus +5 = 66 Brumbies over Force without bonus +4 = 63 Crusaders over Hurricanes with bonus +5 = 61 Reds over Waratahs without bonus +4 = 58 Cheetahs BYE +4 = 54 If so, then Brumbies vs Cheetahs and Crusaders vs Reds. ........ Cheetahs vs Bulls semi perhaps ....... mmmmmmmm
  8. FIXED ... Cheetahs beat the Blues. No pun intended.
  9. What a sterling performance by the B&I Lions.
  10. I fear a bad outcome for my beloved Cheetahs. Hopefully that belief they had in themselves before the Bulls game in June rejuvenates itself today.
  11. http://www.superxv.com/news/super15_rugby_news.asp?id=39611#.UdexWFO-Lbs Super Rugby officials are monitoring a potentially massive disruption to the end of the Super Rugby season if former South African President Nelson Mandela fails to recover from his illness. Ninety-four-year-old Mandela is in a critical condition in a Pretoria hospital and it has been widely reported in South Africa that if he dies there will be an official 10-day mourning period which could see all sport in the country temporarily put on hold. The situation has the potential to wreak havoc on the final rounds of Super Rugby which has two full rounds involving South African teams still to run. After the two rounds there are still three weeks of play offs and there is no room in the calendar to move games to. SANZAR Chief Executive Greg Peters has told Fairfax Media that at present they are trying not to think about rugby problems when such an important life is at stake. "It's not appropriate to think about rugby issues when we're all so worried about the health and wellbeing of a great man," Peters told Fairfax. "Our thoughts and prayers are with him and everyone in South Africa, rather than focusing on any rugby issues."
  12. What if there was no such thing as a rhetorical question?
  13. Interesting topic. Made me think about the Springbok jersey or Man United kit I can buy. But those are team franchises. Same with team cycling kits. But individual amateur events? I tend to concur with Wyatt.
  14. No chance of any a generator where we were - 6 days without ANY power. Only solar, gas and wood. No chance of my trusted Nespresso there, but I will look into your inverter option. And not saying plunger coffee isn't good - it's just that it's not as good as my Nespresso!!
  15. We were traveling back from Namibia yesterday and stopped at a renowned farm stall for lunch and a cappuccino. I took one sip and pushed it aside, even though it was my first cup after a week of plunger coffee in the bush. As my one buddy says, life's too short to drink bad coffee and wine.
  16. That the cost of cycling has nothing to do with the purchase price of your bike ...
  17. And my wife uses the frother to prepare her milk basis for a mean hot chocolate. I would never go integrated - but different strokes for different folks.
  18. Separate frother is important for me, so I guess we're on the same page.
  19. I've got the Citiz with seperate milk frother and just love it. Contrary to Wayne and Grumpy, I wouldn't go for an integrated unit, as I quite like the frothing part of the equation. But that's just based on my perception and not my experience - and I have to justify my own purchase. Either way, you'll never look back.
  20. I brought a similar question to the Hub about a year ago. I took both vehicle registration docs to a shop that prints perspex plates and drilled holes in the two top corners which I then secure with cable ties to the bike rack depending on which vehicle I'm using. Been through several road blocks since and never had any problems.
  21. Whilst Wayne and Fire are undoubtedly the heroes of this thread, let's not forget the person who took the initiative to bring it to the Hub. Good on you Wannebe. A small but vital ingredient in this good-news story. And then again Mr Potgieter ...
  22. Thanks to Wayne, you can sleep well and train even harder now. We're behind you all the way, and will be following your races with keen interest. Hope this opportunity propels your career to the next level. Sterkte!!!
  23. @tubed - fantastic coverage and writing!! Much appreciated.
