  2. i know you say they missing but perhaps a pic will help
  3. uhmm with the risk of stating the obvious. No one mentioned this Lenie person by name in any posts until you did so. So if anyone dragged their name through the mud it was you.
  4. I honestly don't see what relevance knowing the race organizer has at all I did not ride this race why should i now accept that the area was littered after the race not knowing this lenie person makes me objective you knowing them makes you subjective to my mind you too close to the issue to provide any valued input
  5. cool no axe to grind here mate same sentiment as you just trying to help a newbie and hey i think most groups in cradle are seen in same manner by single riders so to be fair not a cycle lab issue but hey ill see you in the cradle the weekend
  6. with respect to Spirog before joining a cycle lab group do a search here on cycle lab groups and see feedback about these guys then decide if you want to join them Cradle loop and a bit of a rant - share the road - Cycling Safety - Bike Hub
  7. i agree profanity doesnt excuse his actions but strange you dont openly say if you did or didnt use profanity always 2 sides in my view
  8. you can park at any of the spots on the loop avianto, bidons, neck and deck, bru there are more spots but these are the more popular and where i have parked before a full loop is about 28.53 kms if you do a loop plus the segment up to the caves and back that adds about 20 km both directions
  9. I'm not sure how this works. To my mind an e-bike weighs about 6 to 10 kgs more. So if you don't use the battery at optimal level doesn't the extra weight cancel out the advantage you get on uphill's. To my mind its a zero gain game. If you don't ride at maximum assist on an e bike you putting yourself at a disadvantage due to extra weight.
  10. You in Muldersdrif which is close to Cradle. My advice id drive out there park next to road, watch for a big guy who looks like he is battling along. Offer him a ride home in exchange for his bike. I promise this will work.
  11. i have one of those bike stand thingies for doing work. MARVEL Brand Let me know if anyone wants it. Its a come fetch it arrangement so probably Jhb based persons only. I however can courier
  12. you sadly dont say where you are from
  13. nothing you have said makes me decide to not use bike market zilch nada niks i have used them in the past and will use them in the future
  14. thanks its short term memory and not long term else you wouldn't have anything to share
  15. i dont its just after a ride we were sitting talking times the debate was raised about who logged moving and who logged elapsed time. so I posed question to hub.
  16. I often ride in a family group where I have to sit and wait for slower riders. What this means is at the end of the ride the difference between my Elapsed Time versus my Moving Time is large. What is the view of the Hub. Which is the right measure of the ride. Elapsed Time or moving Time
  17. Don't all of the above in the same measure apply to unskilled riders regardless of a normal bike or an e bike I'm not sure why only the e bike riders are too blame Any and all unskilled riders on trails can cause issues
  18. Wow. I never thought I would see the day. Few years back the hub had a plethora of threads and posts about whether E-Bikes were legit and would be allowed to ride where normal bikes ride. e-Bikes and E-Bike riders were roasted and maligned. Skip to today. Here is a post debating the merits of different E-Bikes one to another. TIMES HAVE CHANGED.
  19. The Thule type racks that are platform. Lately seems guys stealing the arms that hold the frame. Must be fellow riders. When rack is on car without bikes no ways do I leave those arms on. Mate had arms stolen in cradle area.
  20. I have a thule velo comapct bike rack on an amarok tow bar i seem to remember when buying the rack the guy at thule removed some bit of plastic and threw it away this was a while back so dont know if its the same plastic
  21. Is this based on fact. E-bikes dont like water. I though the water level is an issue for e-bikes and normal bikes. Have yet to read that normal bikes can go where e-bikes cant. Thought it was the same for both.
  22. hence the need for an ebike
  23. David Where do you live perhaps someone local can help you
  24. motor switches off no assistance semantics its called English you should try it
