thats exactly what i am saying - but Lance wont admit it, i wish he would, but he wont, cant.. i am not condoning Tylars doping, but i do admire his admission, i will admire Lances admission even more...

The fact remains - the others didnt have a choice, if they wanted to stay in the sport, they needed to dope.. they had to ATTEMPT to level the playing field.. Lance has a lot more to lose than the rest though - a lot has been built around his success. The rest of the guys are known for their cycling, thats about as far as it goes..

The thing is, they ALL doped, so it did level the playing field - most never had a choice (well there was a choice, take PEDs or get left behind and find another profession) The problem is, everyone realises that the cover ups are over - EVERYTHING is coming out, so most of the guys (the ones implicated) are telling the truth. Lance is too deep in it though - will take so much to get him to admit it...

Just finished the secret race by Tylar H - man what a great book, couldnt put it down. allways been a Lance fan - my opinion has changed a lot though - looking back at that era however, the racing was incredible. The most exciting racing due to the fact that the guys were so strong.. they ALL doped it seems and they were all involved. The problem is Lance is a sociopath. i cant see him ever admitting to the doping - but i cant see him getting away with it either. the way he treated people, they way he manipulated the system.. there are loads of people that want to see justice done. lets hope it happens and soon...

I did a 3:03 last year on my 29er, with racing ralphs.. i have a spare set of wheels and i put slicks on, hopefully i can do a sub 3:00 this year.. Doing it for MY pb, dont need anyones approval...

the main concensus, I believe, is that most dont care what you think.. if one wants to put slicks on to improve your time, do it - whats it to you?

i bought some conti Cyclocross tyres, very small tread, work pretty well, and dont make the bike look too horrible as they arent as thin as normal road tyres.. see attached pic

buy a hardtail... ;-)

dont lean forward, push your chest towards the top bar, keep your centre of gravity down... and between the 2 wheels - it gets easier with practice, its all about balance, left and right, forward and backwards....

Just got the numbers from registration - apparently only 2 water points and only water - so pack some extra juice mix if you need refills...
