dude, i doubt you could damage the tyre using as much force as possible with your hands, don't worry about, just don't use extra force with tools.

Keep chirping the guys if you see it happen - make sure the other people around you hear your chirps, get them to say something ass well - it will become contagious and more people will help in the chirping! WE can make it uncomfortable for anyone who does it!!! If they abuse you for chirping, so what, you know you are right, so it shouldn't matter... you will always get idiots who drop stuff on the trails, but make them at least think about it and it will\should become less frequent..

Started in B bunch and caught most of the ladies A and a lot of A bunch riders - I fealt super strong till just after that hectic rocky downhill before the floating bridge - where I got a real wheel puncture. I stopped 3 times to bomb it and then eventually had to stop to put a tube in, that luckily held and I could carry on.. I kept going but then with 10km to go those rocks killed me, I had no more power, my kidneys were killing me with the bumps. I still managed to finish in under 4hr, so pretty happy with my ride.. When I cleaned my bike today, the rear wheel could hardly spin... I had put wheel in skew after putting the tube in and the disk was stopping on the brake... But so we learn.. Still had a great time out there.. Well not the last 10 km :-)

In, it looks like a tough last 30km of climbing.. gonna have to try be calm in the first half...

Hmm, still seems excessive though.. Pre entry for the midmar is R120 and R180 10km races seem to be less than R50 for an entry 94.7 entry = R320 it shouldn't be much more than R550 for the race...

mini Hijack sorry - but why are the triathlon events so expensive, i want to enter the 5150 event in November and its R800 for a single day event??

I did my 6th one this year - going to skip next year and let a friend use my entry... I dont have the excitement for it anymore, not sure why - maybe if i skip a year it will come back.. It is still the best race to do though, not dissing it at all ;-)

only 10% increase - compared to 15% increase each year for the Epic...

got them front and back, running nice low pressure and they haven't given me any trouble.. super grippy
