Hi Hubbers I want you opinion, what are the best road bike choices out there for a road bike between R30K and R40K? I am looking for full carbon, Ultegra group set, with 38mm Carbon rims (if possible). The Black Spade Racing bike looks like a good option but want your views on any other options I have.... Thanks

When will the badges update for today's riding? I only needed the 1000m badge and I just completed the Bestmed road race that had 1100m of climbing but my profile still says I need the 1000m badge. Once it updates I have completed all badges!

Morning all I am now in Benoni. Looking for a pretty fast road group in the benoni area. It's pretty flat out here so looking for a group that rides at least 34km/h average. Anyone on the hub with some contacts or know of fast road groups in the benoni area. Looking to ride at least 120km tomorrow. Thanks Craig

Going back to the trainer questions? Which is better, Tacx or cyclops? Which one can you download rides that you complete to strava. Seen some guys doing pyrenees rides on the Tacx trainers and loading it on strava.

Does anyone know if Sandton Virgin Active and Glen Marais (in Kempton Park) Virgin actives have wattbikes? I know that Rivionia Virgin Active and Bryanston Virgin active have wattbikes but not sure about the other two.

Hi All Now that winter is setting in, looking at joining up to train indoors. I don't really like spinning classes the gyms offer and prefer training on the wattbikes. The wattbikes at virgin actives are limited though and therefore you can never guarantee yourself a bike when you get to gym. Can everyone help me with a list of cycling studios that offer power training or some kind of indoor cycling training that is different from spinning? I know about Cadence in fourways, bu this is out the way as I am from the Benoni area but work in Sandton. Therefore, anything between the east and Sandton will be perfect. Thanks All Cheers

Don't need GPS. Just follow the perfectly manicured single track highway down to the coast! Did the Joberg2C last year and some teams never had any gps and managed quite well.

I was also in B group today. What top were you wearing? I was in the bright green sabie top driving the pace as much as possible (including on the "hill")

Hi All Made the decision on the Cannondale Scalpel 1, now I need to decide on the pedals! What is the better choice between the Shimano XTR pedal and the Time-atac-xc-12-titanium-carbon-bike-pedals? Anyone out there have experience or reviews on the time pedals? I always rode with XT pedals in the past. What would you guys recommend? Thanks

Thanks guys! I am leaning towards the Cannondale Scalpel 1. Would any of you guys upgrade anything on this bike, like the XT brakeset to XTR? Also thinking of going 1x11, but not sure as I like high cadence on the climbs.

Hi all In the market for a new mountain bike. Mainly do the local marathons, stage races like sani, Sabie and j2c. Had a tallboy that was stolen. My price range is between R60k and R75k. What would you guys suggest? Thinking about the momsen vipa team addition or the cannondale scalpel 1.

Thanks for the info. Pace sounds good. I rode the 200km Audax this past weekend at an average of just over 32km/hour. So I should manage the quicker group. Average around 10 hours on the bike per week in PTA at the moment. Where do the guys head that leave from the O'reily BP in the mornings and how far do they generally go? Hi all fellow hubbers We were a victim of SA crime last night. Staying in a lodge in Magalies (won't name the place as I don't want to create bad rep), guys broke broke into our chalet while we sleeping and stole valuables including my santa cruz tallboy mountain bike. Please can all riding in the Magalies area, especially those riding close to breedts neck, be on the lookout for my bike. Anyone that identifies it and if I get it back there is a reward.
